Why Early Access?

“Sparrow God combines mahjong hands with roguelike builds. We want feedback from real players to help refine Joker and faction combinations, the difficulty curve, and the experience for new players. Early Access gives the community a role in shaping the game as development continues. Our focus during this stage is the PC version’s gameplay, content, and stability.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Early Access to last about six months. The timing may change depending on development progress and player feedback. Our decision to move to the full release will be based primarily on the completion of planned content, game stability, and the overall experience. Six months is an estimate, not a fixed completion deadline.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to explore additional Jokers, build combinations, and challenge content, while using player feedback to improve balance, onboarding, controls, and performance. The scope and priorities may change during Early Access. We will share confirmed update details through Steam announcements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version includes 55 Jokers, 21 hand types, 11 factions, eight chapters with 24 blinds, 20 bosses, and an Endless Mode available after clearing the main run. Ranked Challenge, Daily Challenge, and Free Mode are available. The eight stakes unlock progressively; some factions and Jokers also have unlock requirements. The game supports mouse and keyboard controls, local run saving, and Steam Cloud saves. Online leaderboards require an internet connection. The core run setup, combat, shop building, and results flow are playable, while content, balance, and the overall experience remain in development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to offer a lower price during Early Access to thank our early supporters. As content is added and features are refined, the price may increase moderately when the game leaves Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to gather reports and suggestions through Steam discussions and player reviews, focusing on Joker and faction balance, stage difficulty, onboarding, and save issues. Feedback will help us prioritize fixes and content development. We plan to test major balance changes before refining them based on feedback. Steam update announcements will explain version changes and provide opportunities to discuss future content with players.”

A mahjong roguelike that brings together Ready hands and dice. Roll the dice yourself and challenge your luck.

Sparrow God brings the snowballing builds of Balatro to the rich patterns of traditional mahjong. Discover 55 Jokers, 11 factions, 21 hand types and 20 bosses across eight chapters and 24 blinds, followed by Endless Mode. From clearing your first blind to earning six high-score titles, build toward the ultimate milestone: a single hand worth 1e15 points.

Mahjong Strategy with 21 Hand Types

High Card / Pair / Sequence / Full Flush / All Terminals & Honors / Two Pair / Thirteen Orphans / Two Seq + Two Trip / Triplet / All Simples / Value Pairs / Seven Stars / All Green / Small Three Dragons / Four Winds / Nine Gates / Pure Straight / All Honors / Kong / Big Three Dragons / Big Four Winds.

Each hand type has its own base chips and multiplier. Combine them with Ready declarations and winning draws to bring mahjong patterns into a roguelike setting. Hand requirements are adapted for playing small groups of tiles; the in-game codex explains the rules.

Quality over quantity: 55 distinctive Jokers find their roles in different builds. As your synergies deepen, your score snowballs. Push toward millions, hundreds of millions, and the ultimate sky-breaking hand.

Eight Stakes and Sky High Scores

Progress through eight stakes, from Novice to Celestial. Higher stakes change score targets, shop conditions and play restrictions, with corresponding starting rewards and shop guarantees. After clearing the main run, continue into Endless Mode and combine consecutive wins with Echo Jokers to keep your score climbing.

Six score milestones await: 1e6, 1e8, 1e10, 1e12, 1e14 and finally 1e15. Unlock their title banners and share cards to give your build a place in the spotlight.

Three Game Modes

• Ranked Challenge: Clear each stake to unlock the next and face tougher rules across eight stakes.

• Daily Challenge: Take on the same daily seed and compete on the online leaderboard. A new challenge arrives every day.

• Free Mode: Choose your faction, enter a custom seed and explore your own build combinations.
