About This Game

PIXEL KITTEN DESKTOP is a cozy, relaxing pixel-art desktop pet game.

Keep a single kitten to quietly keep you company while you work, study or daydream, or build a lively cat colony where cats meet, pair up and have kittens, and follow the family tree as different coats and hidden genes pass down from one generation to the next.

A pixel kitten on your desktop: company while you work and study

Every kitten has its own hunger, thirst, energy, mood, cleanliness, health and affection. It decides what to do next based on how it feels: strolling across your screen, curling up for a nap, stretching, meowing, or letting you know what it needs with a little emote bubble.

You can feed it, give it water, play with it, brush it and give it gentle pets, put it to bed, or give it medicine when it's unwell. As your time together grows, it slowly grows from a tiny kitten into a companion that's always there on your desktop.

Cat colony: a whole family living on your desktop

Start with two founder kittens and watch them live together and grow up.

Once they're grown, you can choose partners for your cats yourself or let them pair up freely. After a pregnancy, the mother cat gives birth to one or two kittens by her side, and a new family begins.

Every cat has its own hidden genes. Kittens inherit some traits from their father and some from their mother, and certain coats can even skip a generation before showing up again. The family tree shows how every cat is related to its parents, so you can trace your whole family line generation by generation.

You can also adopt unrelated newcomers to bring fresh genes into the family. All the cats in a colony share one inventory and one wallet, and use the beds, toys and auto feeders you place on your desktop together.

Keep it relaxed, or take on a breeding challenge

Choose stress-free casual play, or go for breeding with clear goals.

• Casual mode: raise and breed cats freely with no goals. When a cat's health drops to 0 it only gets sick, and with good care it will recover.

• Easy mode: complete a 5-step breeding route set by your founders' genes, and breed a kitten with a coat neither parent has.

• Medium mode: complete 14 challenge goals, including breeding a third generation, revealing a hidden trait and discovering 5 different genetic phenomena.

• Hard mode: collect all 43 cat coats through breeding.

Take good care of every member of the family. In a challenge, if any cat's health drops to 0, the challenge is lost.

Collect, dress up and desktop life

There are 43 cat coats to discover, across four rarity tiers: N, R, SR and SSR. Every coat you find is recorded in your collection for good, waiting for you to complete it.

The shop offers food, bowls, beds, toys, auto feeders and more. Furniture you buy can be placed right on your desktop for the whole cat family to use.

You can also dress your cats in 22 wearable accessories, unlock 50 achievements, and use the built-in Lo-Fi music player to add a calm, cozy mood to your work, study and time together.

Whether you want one quiet kitten to keep you company or a pixel cat family that keeps growing, they'll live and grow on your desktop and share your everyday moments with you.
