About This Game

Eight hours. One house. Endless dead.

Play 8 Hours Till Dawn solo, or with up to five other friends, a survival party game where you plan out your actions and movements ahead of time. Navigate your survivor to the center room to grab a weapon then make it to an outer room with a window and hopefully stop the infected. Can you last 8 hours till dawn?

During each in-game "hour" you will plan your actions using the 8 Action cards you draw under a timer. This timer gives you the same amount of time every round, but as the night goes on, the decisions stack up, the horde keeps growing, and the weight of every choice gets heavier. Harder difficulties give you even less time. 

What Will Be Available at Launch

Arcade mode (Survive 8 Hours and then escape.)

Pure Arcade, survival horror fun. You and your team are in the house, the dead are at every window, and you have eight hours to hold it together until dawn. This is where every wrong decision could cost you everything. Quick games and a bunch of customization. 

Blades, Barricades, and Boomsticks expansion

This expansion changes the feel completely. You are not just surviving the night now, you are fortifying until help arrives. It plays like the co-op zombie experience you have probably been playing since the late 2000s. Hold the line, fight back the wave, and pray the barricades hold until morning with the base game victory, or barricade all the windows for the new barricade victory. It also introduces melee weapons and rules, new characters and much more. 

Endless Mode

The sun never rises. The horde never stops growing. You and your friends just keep going until you cannot anymore. No win condition. No rescue coming. Just you, your team, and an ever-increasing horde. See how long you last.

Build Your Survivor

Asymmetrical Survivors

Every survivor in 8 Hours Till Dawn is unique. Choose from a roster of premade characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, or build your own from scratch. Mix and match different survivor features, pick your favorite hat, Choose a set of survivor traits, to create exactly the survivor you want to bring into the night.

The Woods Expansion

This shifts the map you play on to a procedurally generated searchable map that takes place in the woods after you leave the front door. In this map you will search for new weapons, find wood to use for defenses in the house. Find inventory expansion items, fight off new infected types and so much more! 

Bigger, Badder, Weapons and Survivors

Each expansion and add-on will add a small amount of weapons and survivors. 
Eventually you will be able to customize what weapons you want to play with. Once that is live even more weapons and survivors will be added with that update so you can customize your experience even more!

Mall Expansion

You made it out of The Woods and now you have a whole new threat on your hands. Open spaces, resource runs for even better weapons, and a horde that never gives you a single breath. This shifts the whole game into something that feels closer to a co-op zombie shooter in board game form. If you have ever wanted to run through a zombie-infested mall with your friends, this is it.

Campaign Mode (The Full Legacy Experience)

A complete semi-Rougelite game where you choose 8 survivors to tackle the entire base game and all the expansions, going back to the house each night with the new weapons and fortifications you have found with that survivor. Eventually finding all the needed items for escape. or killing off all 8 survivors and starting over. plan what survivors you want to use to make the best of their abilities, store high powered weapons in the weapon deck at the house so you can still use it after a survivor falls to the horde. Upgrade the house with defenses and make the nights easier for the next survivor. Can you fix the van and make it out of town with everyone?

I designed this as a four player game. It runs great anywhere from solo to six survivors, but four is the sweet spot the game was built around.
