About This Game

Welcome to Eightfold, a challenging roguelike deckbuilder set in a hand-drawn carnival struggling under a debt no living owner remembers taking on. Build poker hands, chain Jokers into absurd combos and chase ever-higher scores  - until the carnival's eight Gods rewrite the rules you rely on.

Select from a range of over 20 decks, and customise them to your heart’s content. Between rounds, spend your winnings on a selection of over 180 jokers, 32 Vouchers, 22 Magic Tricks and Pacts, as well as Boosters, Tags, Stickers, Enhancements, Card Borders and Joker Editions. Each choice will strengthen your deck, but every advantage comes with a weakness, and you may find yourself signing a Pact you regret.

Each run allows you to build a truly unique deck. 

With over 180 Jokers, and an endless combination of Magic Tricks, Stickers, Enhancements and more, no two runs will ever be the same. Choose from a selection of 21 decks, each changing how you play, and watch your build evolve in new and unexpected directions.

POWER AT A PRICE

Nothing at the carnival comes without a price. 

The stalls offer upgrades for your deck, some at a cost beyond gold. The most powerful boons leave Curses behind, twisting the cards in your deck. Avoid the Curses, or embrace the danger and build a run around it.

Every act builds towards a showdown with one of the carnival’s eight Gods, each with the power to break the rules your deck relies on. Learn their tricks and counter their unique stage effects to take their souls and pay your debt.

Every Joker offer, Curse roll and Pact you sign sends the run somewhere new. 

Unlock new content after each run - keep coming back to unlock new Jokers, Decks, and secrets as you fill out your library. Even once you’ve found it all, there’s always another build to try.
