“Because Dome: Become Thyself is an experimental infinite roguelite built around procedural exploration, typing language, emotions and many other systems interwoven together. Early Access lets players test the core loop while the game is still evolving, especially around stat balance and combat feel, procedural world generation, items, progression, and onboarding.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The current plan is for Dome: Become Thyself to remain in Early Access for another 2 months. This may change depending on player feedback and development progress.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include more lore related content, complete 8 canon emotion quests, balance, new enemy varieties, dome items like dome leak (it flips the world upside down), audio, visual effects, cosmetics and many more improvements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version contains the playable foundation of the game: procedural room exploration, dome-based gameplay, enemies, traps, rewards, keys, 64 stat scaling items, working 1/3 tiers of cosmetics, and experimental systems like procedurally generated cities. Some content, balance, visuals, audio, progression, and mechanics are unfinished and may change.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Dome will transition to a paid Early Access title. The Early Access price will be lower than the planned price for the full 1.0 release. The price may increase during development as substantial new content, features, and polish are added. Any planned price changes will be communicated in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback will help shape balance, onboarding, combat feel, procedural generation, item behavior, progression, readability and performance.
Feedback will be collected through Steam Discussions, player reports, and discord server during development. An ingame crash/error reporting system is already implemented.”

Every run sends you into an unstable procedurally generated world of strange rooms, traps, enemies, rewards, vaults, puzzles and impossible spaces.

learn the language of reality: Collect words, expand your vocabulary, and master the language of emotions. Combine words into powerful sentences to cast abilities, solve puzzles, reshape your surroundings, and unlock entirely new ways to interact with the world.

Infinite procedural world: Every time you play, your start from a new origin. Reality becomes more unstable the further you explore.

Dome-based gameplay: Your Dome is a living toolkit of emotional expression. Use it to attack, defend, reveal hidden structures, navigate, alter scale, fly, or even flip the world upside down.

Become thyself: The world responds to the emotions you express. Collect lost body parts, find keys, unlock artifacts, and discover reality-bending tools in order to regain lost memory and piece yourself back together.

Early access release is in active development. Content, balance, visuals, audio, progression, and mechanics may change as the game grows through updates and player feedback.

AI used to make pieces of capsule art then assembled and edited in photopea (free online photoshop). All the content in the game, dialogues, colors, quests, items, icons, layouts, proc gen, easter eggs, everything is handcrafted, handpicked and intentionally placed by me, or is a CC0 licenced asset which will be credited upon game's full release.
