About This Game

You're a duck. The pond disagrees.

You were minding your own business, the way ducks do. The pond decided that was a problem. Plucked is a top-down bullet-heaven roguelite where you play a small, round, alarmingly well-armed duck & survive wave after wave of everything that wants you for lunch.

On your own, or with up to eleven friends in the same pond.

Twelve ducks, one pond

Co-op isn't bolted on, it's the reason I built this. Up to 12 players in a single arena, joining through a Steam invite, a join code, or the public lobby browser if you'd rather find a pond full of strangers.

Everyone brings their own guns, their own coins & their own opinions about what to spend them on. Go down & you spectate the chaos until the next wave brings you back, so the last duck standing keeps the whole run alive.

Shoot first, quack later

Pick a loadout & waddle in. You handle the moving, your guns auto-aim the nearest unlucky amphibian. Between waves you spend XP & coins to build a duck that has absolutely no business being this dangerous - more damage, faster fire, thicker feathers, or just spikes, for some reason.

Then comes the fun part: merge your weapons. Two of the same gun fuse into a meaner one, all the way up to Tier 4. Stack a humble pistol into a hand cannon, or hoard shotguns until something breaks. (It will be the frogs.)

Melee is not your backup plan

You carry one melee weapon & it lives on right click, on its own cooldown.

The katana dashes clean through whatever you point it at, & a kill lets you aim & dash again, keep landing them & a maxed katana carves a line straight through a wave. The knife is a shorter hop that chains from body to body through a crowd. The pole spins, swatting enemy projectiles back the way they came, & at a high enough tier that includes a boss's own shots, straight back into its face.

The pond started it

It starts with frogs. It does not stay frogs. Tongues, charges, leaps, crocodiles that put their head down & run at you - every few waves something new turns up to ruin your run.

Then wave 10 arrives & King Guppy drops in: spits, sweeps, summons, a super jump with a shadow you really want to step out of, & a glob of acid that reshapes the floor. He's the first boss. There's worse in this pond, Get plucked & see what awaits!

What you're getting into

  • 12-player online co-op - friend invite, join code, or the public lobby browser with regions. Everyone keeps their own build.

  • Nine weapons, all unreasonable - pistol, shotgun, assault rifle, sniper, an actual rocket launcher, a ricocheting pebble, plus a knife, a pole & a katana.

  • Merge & sell - fuse duplicate guns up through four tiers & ditch the ones you've outgrown.

  • Build-crafting that gets out of hand - every level-up offers upgrades, every shop offers items. Go glass cannon, go tank, go full porcupine. Your run, your bad decisions.

  • Three arenas, real trade-offs - the tight one pays 50% more XP, the sprawling one pays less & hits 50% harder. Pick your poison.

  • Four difficulties & run modifiers - from Easy up to Hardcore, plus toggles like Gun Insanity when four weapons stop being enough.

  • Steam leaderboards - separate boards for every arena, difficulty & solo-or-co-op combination, with co-op runs listed by lobby. Link your Twitch & it shows next to your name.
