What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to build NULLHOME alongside our players. Early Access gives us the opportunity to gather real feedback on the atmosphere, pacing, and puzzle design as we develop the remaining content. Player reactions to the horror experience — what works, what's too obscure, what's genuinely unsettling — will directly shape the full release. We believe the people who connect with this kind of psychological horror are exactly the voices we need in that process.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We estimate approximately 6 months. This is our current target based on the content remaining to be completed, but we will not rush the release — NULLHOME will leave Early Access when it is ready.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version contains several levels with a core portion of the story and gameplay. We plan to expand this with the remaining interconnected levels, a fully developed narrative conclusion, additional entities and encounters, more environmental puzzles, expanded lore and collectible documents, and online co-op support.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“NULLHOME currently features several playable levels with atmospheric Backrooms-inspired environments, environmental and psychological puzzles, entity encounters, and discoverable documents and recordings that establish the core mystery. The opening story arc is fully playable. Some planned content — including later levels, the story conclusion, and co-op — is still in development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and approach the full release. Early Access supporters are getting in at the lowest price the game will be — a thank-you for backing NULLHOME during development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is central to how we're developing NULLHOME. We'll be actively monitoring the Steam Discussion forums and reading reviews to understand how players are experiencing the horror, puzzles, and atmosphere. We'll use that feedback to iterate on existing content and inform the direction of what we build next. Where possible, we plan to share development updates and ask for direct input on key decisions — such as difficulty balance, pacing, and which aspects of the lore players want to explore further. This is a game about uncovering hidden truths, and we want the community to be part of uncovering what NULLHOME becomes.”
