Why Early Access?

“Battle Worms is still in the early stages of developement, and we plan to further expand content and polish before it is ready for full release. In the meantime, we want players to be able to experience the game and directly give us feedback on how to improve it. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We have a specific set of content and features we want to add while remaining in early access. With our current developement timeline, we estimate the game may remain in early access for around a year. Early Access will be complete once this planned feature set is complete.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to implement at least two additional minigames, proximity chat and potentially cosmetics. We also plan to further improve polish and qualtiy of existing game content, and may further add more minigames, parts, or maps while in Early Access. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Our game is currently fully playable with 1 minigame: Worm League, and 6 attachable parts: fin, spike, leg, spore cannon, shell, and wings. Multiplayer is complete, as is the full game loop. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to eventually increase the price by a little once the game comes out of early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is incredibly important to us and we plan to rely heavily on it to catch and fix any bugs, refine existing gameplay joyable as possible, and take suggestions on new content to add as we further improve the game. We will take feedback directly from players in our discord server, and may even host specific playtimes for members to come together and play in a more organized event. ”
