About This Game

Insomnia Club is a dark, grounded emotional visual novel about early-adult confusion, social issues, intimacy, and self-identity. It follows a group of people who are barely maintaining normal lives in a modern city as they endure repression, loss of control, collapse, and the harm people can cause one another, while still trying to form genuine connections.

Story

You play as a product manager suffering from long-term insomnia. Inside a vast organization, you are broken down into labels, metrics, permissions, and a replaceable position, gradually losing the ability to confirm that you truly exist as yourself.

In a late-night space hidden above an art studio, you will meet several people who also cannot sleep.

A corner that seems to offer a moment of breathing room may also hide another ruin no one wants to bring into the light. Your struggles and choices will blur the boundary between day and night.

As the story progresses, the protagonist's barely maintained life begins to fall apart. Work, family, relationships, and self-identity stop being distant background noise and become problems closing in right in front of him. You may make undignified choices at the edge of collapse, or find the strength to stand again in places you did not expect.

The game includes deeply developed character routes and multiple endings, but it is not a traditional dating sim. Choices do not simply appear as increases or decreases in affection, and "successfully winning someone over" is not the only goal. Your responses, silences, questions, and retreats will gradually change the dynamics between characters, and sometimes the characters themselves, shaping the final direction of their relationships and lives.

Features

- Core themes include peer pressure, family expectations, ideological conflict, insomnia, and intimate boundaries

- An anti-genre narrative built within the framework of a classic text-based AVG

- Multiple major characters with complete psychological logic and deeply developed character routes

- Multiple endings that do not treat "getting together" or "getting better" as the only correct answer

- A hidden stat system with no visible affection indicators; relationship changes emerge naturally through dialogue, behavior, and detail

- Phone chats, social feeds, and real-time message presentation that make communication, silence, and unread messages part of the plot

- A notebook system that records the fragments the protagonist notices and leaves different traces as relationships change

- An inner-thought text system that displays the protagonist's mental noise under pressure directly on screen

- Meta-narrative elements involving interfaces, data, player expectations, and the boundary between inside and outside the game
