About This Game

Long ago—back when people still believed in the existence of yokai—there lived a princess of a certain kingdom and her kind-hearted retainer. This is the tale of their extraordinary adventure.

Princess Saya was poisoned by the cursed venom of the Great Serpent and came close to death. Yet through the mystical power of a celestial fox spirit, she was revived as a “Bakehime,” a half-human, half-yokai being.

There was only one way for her to regain her human form: defeat the yokai and destroy the Great Serpent’s bloodline.

"Legend of BAKEHIME" is a side-scrolling action game set in a fantasy world inspired by Japanese folklore and mythology.

Jubei, the princess’s loyal retainer, is a master spearman who protects Saya while battling fierce yokai.

Meanwhile, Princess Saya can absorb the spiritual essence of defeated yokai and unleash devastating arrows infused with supernatural power.

The Great Serpent’s clan commands dark sorcery, gathering yokai from across the land to stand against the princess and her companion.

Along their journey, Saya and Jubei will meet both humans and yokai who may become valuable allies in their quest to defeat the Great Serpent’s clan.

Will Saya be able to reclaim her humanity and restore peace to her life?
