What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

We believe Early Access is the best way to develop a sandbox game driven by creativity, experimentation, and player feedback.

The core gameplay systems are already playable, but we would like to continue improving the experience based on how players actually use the tools and mechanics. Community feedback will help us prioritize features, improve usability, balance performance, and expand the game's possibilities.

Early Access allows players to participate in the evolution of the project while helping us identify opportunities and challenges that may not appear during internal testing.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

We expect the game to remain in Early Access for approximately 12–24 months.

The exact duration may change depending on development progress, community feedback, and the scope of improvements we decide to pursue. We prefer to focus on delivering meaningful improvements rather than committing to a fixed release schedule.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

We plan to continue expanding the game's content, tools, and overall feature set throughout Early Access.

Potential areas of development include additional gameplay systems, improved building and editing tools, expanded scripting capabilities, performance optimizations, quality-of-life improvements, and broader content creation options.

The full version is expected to offer a more polished and feature-complete experience, while maintaining the sandbox freedom that defines the game. Development priorities may evolve as we learn more from community feedback and player-created content.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already includes the core gameplay experience and is fully playable.

Players can build, destroy, experiment, and create content using the game's existing systems. Core mechanics, destruction technology, editing tools, save/load functionality, and content creation workflows are available.

While the game is playable and actively developed, some features are still being refined and expanded. Players may encounter unfinished elements, balance adjustments, performance improvements, and new systems introduced over time.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We may gradually adjust the price as significant new content, systems, and features are added during development.

Players who join during Early Access will gain access to all updates released throughout the Early Access period. Any future pricing decisions will reflect the scope and maturity of the game as development progresses.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to gather feedback through Steam discussions, bug reports, feature suggestions, gameplay videos, community-created content, and direct player discussions. Community input will help shape development priorities, identify usability issues, and guide future improvements.

We are particularly interested in seeing how players use the game's creative tools and sandbox systems, as player-driven experimentation often reveals new possibilities that influence future development.”

About This Game

Worldforge : Construct & Destroy is a physics-driven voxel sandbox where you can create, program, destroy, experiment, and reshape fully destructible worlds.

Build massive structures, design intricate environments, generate voxel creations through code, and watch voxel buildings break apart under physics-driven destruction.

Every creation can become an experiment and every structure can be pushed beyond its limits.

Create

Shape your own voxel worlds using the integrated editor and sandbox building tools.

Construct buildings, environments, props, experimental structures, and custom voxel models directly inside Worldforge.

For more advanced creation, the integrated RVS scripting system allows you to write real code that generates voxel models and structures. Scripts are not limited to isolated programming puzzles, the same system can be used inside the main editor to create practical content, save your work, and prepare creations for the Steam Workshop.

Programming Challenges provide guided objectives for learning and mastering RVS scripting, beginning with accessible tasks and gradually introducing more advanced construction techniques.

Additional creative and non-programming challenges will continue to expand Worldforge over time.

Creation Features

  • Interactive voxel editor

  • Sandbox building and editing tools

  • Integrated RVS voxel scripting

  • Code-generated models and structures

  • Programming and creative challenges

  • Saveable challenge solutions

  • Moddable content and custom creations

  • Steam Workshop support

Destroy

Explore physics-driven voxel destruction in the included city sandbox.

Damage structures, tear through voxel buildings, create debris, and observe how destruction unfolds through the physics simulation.

Buildings do not rely entirely on fixed destruction animations. Voxel sections can break apart, fall, collide, and react dynamically as structures are damaged.

Destruction Features

  • Fully destructible voxel buildings

  • Real-time physics-driven destruction

  • Dynamic voxel debris

  • Structural breakage and collapse

  • Destructive city sandbox

  • Emergent physics interactions

  • Large-scale demolition experiments

Experiment and Overcome Challenges

Worldforge is designed for more than freeform building and destruction.

Challenge Mode introduces structured objectives across programming, creation, experimentation, and future gameplay systems. Solve challenges, discover new techniques, unlock achievements, and apply what you learn to your own creations.

Whether you want to construct towering structures, program voxel models through code, solve creative challenges, publish custom creations, or experience the satisfaction of tearing a voxel city apart, Worldforge : Construct & Destroy gives you the tools to create and the freedom to destroy.
