What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

We believe Early Access is the best way to develop a sandbox game driven by creativity, experimentation, and player feedback.

The core gameplay systems are already playable, but we would like to continue improving the experience based on how players actually use the tools and mechanics. Community feedback will help us prioritize features, improve usability, balance performance, and expand the game's possibilities.

Early Access allows players to participate in the evolution of the project while helping us identify opportunities and challenges that may not appear during internal testing.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

We expect the game to remain in Early Access for approximately 12–24 months.

The exact duration may change depending on development progress, community feedback, and the scope of improvements we decide to pursue. We prefer to focus on delivering meaningful improvements rather than committing to a fixed release schedule.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

We plan to continue expanding the game's content, tools, and overall feature set throughout Early Access.

Potential areas of development include additional gameplay systems, improved building and editing tools, expanded scripting capabilities, performance optimizations, quality-of-life improvements, and broader content creation options.

The full version is expected to offer a more polished and feature-complete experience, while maintaining the sandbox freedom that defines the game. Development priorities may evolve as we learn more from community feedback and player-created content.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already includes the core gameplay experience and is fully playable.

Players can build, destroy, experiment, and create content using the game's existing systems. Core mechanics, destruction technology, editing tools, save/load functionality, and content creation workflows are available.

While the game is playable and actively developed, some features are still being refined and expanded. Players may encounter unfinished elements, balance adjustments, performance improvements, and new systems introduced over time.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We may gradually adjust the price as significant new content, systems, and features are added during development.

Players who join during Early Access will gain access to all updates released throughout the Early Access period. Any future pricing decisions will reflect the scope and maturity of the game as development progresses.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to gather feedback through Steam discussions, bug reports, feature suggestions, gameplay videos, community-created content, and direct player discussions. Community input will help shape development priorities, identify usability issues, and guide future improvements.

We are particularly interested in seeing how players use the game's creative tools and sandbox systems, as player-driven experimentation often reveals new possibilities that influence future development.”

About This Game

Worldforge : Construct & Destroy is a physics-driven voxel sandbox where you can build, destroy, experiment, and create chaotic battles in fully destructible environments.

Construct massive structures, design combat arenas, simulate collapses, trigger explosive chain reactions, and reshape the world in real time using advanced voxel destruction and dynamic physics systems.

Every impact matters. Buildings crumble under stress, debris reacts physically, explosions tear through structures, and destruction evolves dynamically based on force, weight, and environmental conditions.

Create your own sandbox scenarios, combat challenges, destruction experiments, or mini-games using the integrated level editor and moddable systems.

Features:

  • Fully destructible voxel environments

  • Real-time physics-driven destruction

  • Dynamic debris, explosions, and structural collapse

  • Sandbox building and editing tools

  • Large-scale combat and destruction scenarios

  • Moddable content and custom creations

  • Stylized immersive voxel visuals

  • Experimental gameplay systems and emergent interactions

  • Continuous updates with new gameplay systems and features

Whether you want to engineer towering fortresses, create explosive action sequences, or simply watch entire structures collapse in spectacular fashion, Worldforge gives you the tools to construct and destroy without limits.
