Why Early Access?

We are using Early Access to release a playable core version, gather feedback on balance, clarity, pacing, UI/UX, and run variety, and improve the game together with the community before the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Shardmirror to remain in Early Access for around 6 to 12 months, depending on development progress, player feedback, and the amount of additional polish and content needed. This estimate may change as we continue improving the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the full version with more cards, relics, enemies, events, encounters, balance updates, quality-of-life improvements, visual polish, and additional content around the core roguelike deckbuilding loop. Our goal is for the full version to feel more complete, varied, and polished while preserving the foundation of the current gameplay.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the core battle system, deckbuilding progression, relics, enemies, events, map structure, and a playable roguelike run loop. The game is playable, but some areas such as balance, content variety, UI polish, localization, and late-game depth are still being improved.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to keep the price accessible during Early Access. As more content, features, and polish are added, the price may increase before or at the full release, but any pricing changes will be communicated in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to use Steam community discussions, player reviews, bug reports, and gameplay feedback to guide improvements during Early Access. We are especially interested in feedback about card balance, difficulty, unclear mechanics, UI issues, run variety, and overall game feel. Community feedback will help us prioritize updates and polish the game toward the full release.”
