In Monologin, a short (~30 minute) psychological horror visual novel, you take the role of Leo, a directionless night-shift convenience store worker...  Leo clings to an old, dying MMORPG as proof that his life still means something.

Everyone else seems to have moved on.. College, relationships, all that kind of stuff.

But Leo still logs into EdenVale Online.

Once played by millions, now barely kept alive by a few stubborn veterans. EdenVale is home to Leo’s one remaining obsession: obtaining the legendary White Unicorn mount.

During a quiet night shift, old friends pass through the store: Ari, Dai, Piko, and Uma. Each brief encounter leaves Leo feeling judged, pitied, rejected... Left behind.

...As the night unfolds, the same moments begin to take on different meanings. Casual jokes become missed invitations. Polite distance hides crises. Success looks less like victory...

...And somewhere inside EdenVale, the forgotten White Unicorn event is about to begin.
