About This Game

Malignus is a 2D dungeon colony sim where you play as a dungeon boss and all of the minions and creatures under them as they build a dungeon together and raid the overworld for treasure. Your dungeon is a growing, scheming evil with minions to command, chambers to carve, prisoners to keep, treasures to hoard, and a whole world of meddling adventurers determined to put an end to you.

Build your underground dominion from a rough lair into a sprawling fortress of stone, traps, and shadow. Dig out rooms, manage your creatures, assign work, stockpile resources, and shape the dungeon around your dark ambitions. Your minions have needs, traits, skills, wounds, moods, and priorities of their own, and managing to balance all of this out while under the relentless pressure of adventuring parties invading your lair is where the fun lies.

Adventurers will descend into your depths to free prisoners, reclaim stolen treasures, dismantle your traps, and rid the world of your presence. Prepare for them. Lay ambushes. Build kill corridors. Turn your dungeon into a living machine designed to confuse, exhaust, and destroy anyone foolish enough to enter.

Inspired by RimWorld and Dungeon Keeper, Malignus blends colony simulation, dungeon management, base defense, emergent chaos, and villainous fantasy. Grow your lair, exploit your captives, empower your minions, and survive the righteous idiots who keep kicking down your doors.

Note: Malignus is currently in alpha testing. The demo is planned to be released on September 1st, and we will be joining Next Fest in October. The game is planned to launch in early access on November 13th.
