Why Early Access?

“Every Legend is already playable, but it is built around generated RPG stories, and that kind of game benefits heavily from real player feedback. I want to learn what kinds of stories players enjoy most, where the AI-generated content feels strong or weak, and which systems would make the experience better and deeper.

Early Access lets me improve the generated content, add better tools for shaping stories, and build new features around the way players actually use the game.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I currently expect Every Legend to remain in Early Access for maybe 6 months. This though depends heavily on player feedback and the scope of new systems added during development.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to expand the current single-player AI RPG experience with more refined generation, better story control and additional systems shaped by player feedback.

Features I am interested in exploring during Early Access include ways to share story setups or completed stories, an online list of story setups with descriptions and ratings, multiplayer stories where several players choose actions before the story continues, and a multiplayer mode with a “DM” player who can guide, review, or change AI outcomes before they are shown to the group.

These ideas may change based on feedback. The goal is to grow the game in the directions that players find most interesting and valuable.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version is playable as a single-player AI-powered RPG. Players can start new generated adventures, make choices through written actions, and receive generated story progression, characters, quests, dialogue, scene descriptions, images, speech, and music depending on their selected settings.

The game supports bundled local AI models for some features and optional external AI providers configured by the player.

Some areas are still early and need improvement, especially balancing, generated content quality, long-term story consistency, usability, and broader gameplay systems.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The plan is to increase the price for the full release.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to use community feedback to decide which systems to improve or add next. Feedback about generated stories, weak outputs, missing controls, usability problems, and desired gameplay features will be especially important.

Players will be able to share suggestions, bug reports, balance feedback, and feature ideas through Steam discussions and other community channels. I am particularly interested in feedback on story quality, replayability, local and cloud AI provider behavior, and larger feature ideas such as story sharing, online story setup lists, multiplayer, and DM-guided multiplayer.

About This Game

A New Legend Every Time


Every Legend is a text-based AI RPG where the story is generated around your choices. Create a hero, enter your actions in your own words, and watch the adventure unfold through dynamic narration, characters, quests, dialogue, images, speech, and music.

This is a passion project about exploring what role-playing games can become when AI is used as the engine for living stories instead of fixed scripts. The goal is to create adventures that react to you, surprise you, and feel different every time you begin again.

Shape the Story With Your Actions


You are not limited to a small set of dialogue options. Type what your character tries to do, and the game continues the story based on your choices. Sneak past enemies, talk your way out of danger, investigate strange ruins, betray an ally, rescue a stranger, or do something unexpected.

  • Create a custom hero and backstory to start a new fantasy adventure.
  • Type free-form actions instead of choosing from fixed options.

Built Around AI-Generated Role-Playing


Every Legend uses AI to generate the world as you play. The game can create story events, NPCs, locations, combat situations, descriptions, portraits, voices, and atmospheric music based on the current adventure.

The experience is experimental by design. Generated content can be surprising, strange, dramatic, funny, inconsistent, or imperfect. Part of the project is improving that experience over time with player feedback.

Local and Optional Cloud AI


The game includes bundled local AI support for some features, so parts of the experience can run on your own machine. Players can also configure optional third-party AI providers in the settings if they want to use their own API keys.

For the best experience, cloud AI providers are recommended because they can usually provide higher quality, faster, and more consistent generation than local models on many PCs. As one example, Venice AI can provide the required text, image, and speech models through a single provider account. There is no affiliation or sponsorship. AI-generated music is currently handled separately through Suno.

External AI services are optional. The game does not include microtransactions, subscriptions, or in-game purchases for AI usage. If you choose to use external providers, any provider costs are handled directly through your own account with that provider.

Early Access


Every Legend is playable now, but still growing. During Early Access, the focus is on improving generated content quality, usability, story consistency, onboarding, and the systems that make each adventure feel meaningful.

Future ideas being explored include story sharing, online story setup lists with ratings and descriptions, multiplayer adventures, and a mode where one player can act as a DM to guide or review AI outcomes before they happen.

Player feedback will strongly influence which systems are improved or added next.

A Personal Note


AI as a creative tool, and the future it can open for games, is a personal passion of mine. I love exploring what is possible with it, and I plan to keep following new developments in the AI world and experiment with ways to bring the best ideas into Every Legend.

But the main goal is simple: the player should have a fun experience that they shape and own. AI is the tool, not the point. Your choices, your hero, your story, and the legend you create are what the game is built around.

The game can use bundled local AI models on your computer, and it can also use optional third-party cloud AI providers if you configure API keys in the settings. When cloud providers are used, your prompts and relevant game context may be sent to those external services to generate content.

AI-generated content may vary between playthroughs and can occasionally be inaccurate, unexpected, or inconsistent.
