A town that lives its own life — powered by AI on your own PC. Eight residents keep their own routines, form friendships and grudges, pass on what they hear, and remember — one of them, what the town would rather forget. Talk to anyone by voice or text, and change how their stories unfold.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Silver Creek Town is built around a living AI society: residents with their own routines, memory, relationships, and the way what one of them hears reaches another. Early Access lets us release the core playable town now and grow that social layer with player feedback — which residents you connect with, how natural the conversations feel, and what kinds of social moments you want to see more of.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Silver Creek Town to remain in Early Access for about 6 to 12 months. This may change depending on development progress, player feedback, and how much content and how many systems are added during Early Access.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Early Access launches with eight main residents you can talk to, a dozen more townsfolk going about their day around them, and the valley and creek beyond the town. The full version will add more residents you can talk to, more chapters and places, a deeper social layer (what one resident learns can reach another, and relationships that shift because of it), and the rest of the town's hidden story.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Today the town already has: eight residents with daily schedules who meet and talk on the street; voice and text conversation with any of them, answered in their own voices (English and Chinese); AI dialogue processed locally on your PC by default, with optional support for your own OpenAI-compatible API; residents who remember what you tell them; four live performances a day and 18 original songs; a full day–night cycle. Coming with the Early Access launch: the townsfolk, the valley, the social layer (what one resident hears, another may repeat), the clock tower and the first chapter. Animation, UI, performance and some locations are still being improved.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to keep the Early Access price lower than the final release price. As Silver Creek Town grows with more residents, locations, social systems, story content and overall polish, we expect the price to gradually increase. The final price has not been decided yet.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to use player feedback to improve the residents, conversation quality, NPC behaviour, the social layer and future content priorities. Players can share feedback through Steam discussions, reviews and community updates. We are especially interested in how players interact with residents, which characters they connect with, and what kinds of social moments they want to see in Silver Creek.”

About This Game

Silver Creek gets on with its day whether you're there or not.

Lillian at the inn, Helena at the flower shop, Susan at the café, Howard at the town hall, Jack at the forge, Margaret by the creek, Evelyn the singer, and Mina who runs the gatherings — eight residents, each with a day of their own: opening up, dropping by, sitting on a bench for a while. When two of them meet on the street they stop and talk, and you can stand there and listen. A dozen more townsfolk go about their days around them.

In this town, words travel.

Something you mention at the inn in the morning finds its way back to you from the flower shop by evening — not quite the way you said it. Someone starts looking at you differently; someone else crosses the street to avoid you. Nothing said in Silver Creek is ever simply forgotten.

Talk to anyone — out loud, or by typing.

No dialogue wheels. Hold a key and speak, or type, and they answer in their own voice. By default, AI dialogue is processed locally on your PC; you can also connect your own OpenAI-compatible API if you prefer. Any question you ask might change a relationship.

Music at dusk.

When the street lamps and window lights come on, Evelyn and Helena sing their own songs on the open-air stage and the town drifts in to listen. Later, Mina's gathering fills the dance hall. Eighteen songs, each one somebody's story — some things are only ever said in a song.

A valley beyond the town, a clock tower at its heart.

Follow the creek upstream into the valley: the water mill, the shallows, the wooden bridge, the places the last street lamp doesn't reach. The clock tower in the middle of town can be climbed floor by floor to a view over all of Silver Creek. The bell hasn't rung in a long time — and the townspeople would rather not talk about it.

The town remembers more than it admits.

Someone keeps people away from the tower. Someone has gone up there alone at night. Margaret, by the creek, says she remembers things she shouldn't. The more you ask, the clearer it gets: what they're keeping quiet has something to do with you. One day you'll stand at the top of the tower and face the choice: ring it, or don't.

The rhythm of a day.

Empty streets at dawn, gold light at four, the blue hour when the lamps come on one by one, and the last lit window going dark. No quest log, no timers — just a town that keeps living, and people who will remember you.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Silver Creek Town uses generative AI at runtime. (1) NPC dialogue text is generated by a language model as you play. By default this model runs locally on your PC (a bundled open-weights model); you may optionally connect your own OpenAI-compatible API, in which case your text is sent to that provider under your own account. The developer operates no dialogue server and receives no conversation data. (2) NPC speech is synthesized locally on your PC from that text by a text-to-speech model. (3) Player voice input is transcribed locally on your PC; audio is not uploaded. (4) The character songs were produced with AI music tools from lyrics written by the developer; some concept art, character images, text drafts and marketing materials were AI-assisted and reviewed before use. Runtime generation is constrained by system prompts, per-character rules and a content filter to reduce inappropriate, illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, infringing or unsafe output. You can report problematic output through the Steam community hub.

System Requirements

    Minimum:
    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
    • Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB / AMD Radeon RX 580 8 GB
    • DirectX: Version 12
    • Storage: 30 GB available space
    • Sound Card: DirectX compatible
    • Additional Notes: Keyboard and mouse required. No internet connection needed: AI dialogue runs locally on your PC by default. With a GPU of 8 GB VRAM or more the local AI runs on the GPU; on smaller GPUs it runs on the CPU and replies take longer. Optional: connect your own OpenAI-compatible API.
    Recommended:
    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows 10/11 64-bit
    • Processor: Intel Core i7-10700 / AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
    • Memory: 32 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12 GB / AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (8 GB+ VRAM for local AI on GPU)
    • DirectX: Version 12
    • Network: Broadband Internet connection
    • Storage: 35 GB available space
    • Sound Card: DirectX compatible
    • Additional Notes: SSD recommended. A GPU with 8 GB VRAM or more keeps the local AI on the GPU for the fastest replies. An internet connection is only needed if you choose to connect your own OpenAI-compatible API.
