About This Game

My Friend, the Wickhorn is a first-person psychological horror game set in an isolated mountain cabin deep in the winter wilderness. 

You will take care of your cat, keep the cabin running, explore the surrounding woods, and uncover the haunting link between your father's secret past and the ancient curse that has taken hold of your friend.

You are alone, vulnerable, and forced to rely on your instincts, the environment, and whatever tools you can find.

• Care for your cat companion, who reacts to danger, guides you through the woods, and becomes an important part of your survival.

• Maintain the cabin by restoring power, chopping wood, keeping the fire alive, and preparing for the freezing night.

• Uncover a personal mystery through journals, photographs, recordings, and objects left behind by your father.

• Survive encounters with the Wickhorn, a creature shaped by hunger, blood, and the loss of humanity.

You travel to your late father’s cabin in Bloodstag Heights to celebrate your birthday with three close friends. 

When the celebration ends, your friends leave, and you stay behind with your cat, Vincent. You go to sleep, knowing deep down that something about this night feels odd.

You’re woken up in the middle of the night to a loud static noise coming from a TV inside the cabin. The fire has died out, and everything is dark and cold. Your cat is gone, and you go search for it. The search carries you deep into the woods.

You realize the night has taken a turn for the worst when you see a mutilated body of your friend, and decide to flee. Your escape is interrupted when the Wickhorn appears from the woods and starts hunting you down.

Running away from it, you find an old hideout where you discover the secret of your father and The Flame Antler Society…
