Why Early Access?

“Project AsteroidZ is a passion Indie project. The core
arcade and survival experience is complete and fully playable right now, but
there is more content planned. Early Access lets players jump in, enjoy what
is already here, and help shape what comes next. Community feedback directly
influences what gets built and in what order.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months. This
timeline may shift depending on development progress and community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Project AsteroidZ is planned to include a complete
Arcade system, additional enemy types, new
ships to unlock, per-world music, and expanded story content. Steam Leaderboards so players can compete globally, additional power-ups,
and ongoing quality-of-life improvements based on player feedback. The current
arcade and survival modes will continue to receive polish and content updates
throughout Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game currently features three fully playable modes — Story(Prison Mining),Arcade and Survival.
Players can pilot The Viper through escalating waves of asteroids and enemy
ships, chain combo multipliers, collect power-ups, fire missiles, and compete
for high scores. Steam Achievements are implemented and working. The game
supports keyboard and controller. Visual effects including dynamic lighting,
gas clouds, and particle systems are complete. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as significant content updates are
released. Players who support the game during Early Access will get the best
price. I sincerely appreciate early supporters and want to reward them for taking a
chance on the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will actively monitor Steam Discussions and respond to player feedback.
Bug reports, feature suggestions, and balance feedback will all be considered
when planning updates. Players who report bugs or provide constructive
feedback may see their suggestions make it directly into the game. We plan to
post regular update announcements so the community always knows what is being
worked on and what is coming next.”

About This Game

Welcome to Project AsteroidZ — a love letter to the classic Asteroids formula, rebuilt from the ground up and cranked into overdrive. Whether you're here for a quick blast of retro arcade action or looking to sink your teeth into a full story campaign, there's something for you.

Grab your ship, take a breath, and dive in — waves of asteroids, alien fleets, and rogue mines are waiting, and every run is a chance to top your own high score.

What You Can Play Right Now

- Arcade Mode — jump straight into the action. Blast through escalating waves of asteroids, mines, drones, and alien invaders, chain combos for huge scores, and test yourself against boss fights every 5th wave.

- Survival Mode — a pure test of nerve. No waves, no mercy — just you against relentlessly scaling hazards. How long can you hold out?

- Prison Mining — want more story with your shooting? This campaign mode follows your journey working off a sentence hauling salvage in deep space, with voiced characters and a world that grows with you.

- Prestige System — every run banks salvage toward permanent upgrades, so nothing you earn is ever wasted.

- A full loadout of power-ups — shields, triple shot, nukes, rapid burst, and more — to keep every run feeling fresh.

- Comfortable controls out of the box, with full support for both mouse/keyboard and gamepad.

What's Coming Soon

Local co-op and Steam online multiplayer are in the oven! They're playable in early testing, but we want them running smooth and bug-free before we hand them to you. We're not ones to ship something broken — so multiplayer will make its return in a future update once it's truly ready. Wishlist or follow the game to be the first to know when it drops.
