About This Game

Bering Tonnage is a single-player maritime logistics simulator. Start a shipping company in one region of the world and grow it into a global operation. This is a game where strategy, planning, and knowledge of the world can carry you a long way.

Deliver Cargo

Every port in Bering Tonnage is based on real-world data. Load cargo in Miami, pass through the Panama Canal, and deliver it to the West Coast. Carry freight from Rotterdam through the Suez Canal to Shanghai. Or keep things simple with a short route between Helsinki and Sweden. 295 ports. 86,730 possible routes. The choice is yours!

Buy New Ships

Expand your fleet through used purchases and new-build orders at 16 shipyards around the world. With 148 ship variants across 29 manufacturers, there's a ship for every situationCustomize your ship liveries and build a brand that represents your mission.

Store Cargo In Depots

Depots allow ports to become part of a wider logistics network rather than isolated pickup points. Store cargo at regional hubs, collect it later, and use feeder services to move cargo from smaller ports into larger routes. This lets you build networks that are less dependent on a single port having the right cargo at the right moment.

Acquire Licenses

You'll start with 2 or 3 shipping licenses for the countries you operate in. You'll need to build your brand reputation and register your flags in the correct places to expand. There are 162 shipping licenses to acquire.
Disclaimer: This will take thousands of hours.

Automate Everything

So you've setup a feeder network funneling all Australian cargo to Singapore, or all Caribbean Cargo to Miami, or literally any two places on earth. You can't run this all manually anymore. Using the deep automated route rule system, you can build the network of your dreams without lifting a finger.

Handle Political, Bureaucratic, And Natural Challenges

What could go wrong in a logistical network? Not much, right? Tropical storms. Earthquakes, Worker strikes. Ice-blocked ports. Political blockades. War. This is a game where your knowledge of the world actually comes in handy. You may think differently about Manila once typhoon season starts affecting your schedules. Alongside this, licenses, banned registries, flag costs, mooring fees, repairs, and rival operators all affect whether a route is practical in the long term.
