About This Demo

Hey there! Welcome to the demo for The Bone Yard.

If you love strategy, pixel art, and roguelike deck-builders, you’ve wandered into the right graveyard. I'm building this game to blend classic RPG combat with domino-style puzzle mechanics, making every single turn a fun, brain-teasing challenge.

You are trapped in a shifting tomb, and your only way out is to battle through 10 floors of skeletal sentries, abyssal brutes, and the dreaded Bone-Steward. Your weapons? A handful of dirty old bones.

A New Spin on Deck-Building Instead of drawing cards, your "deck" is full of domino-style bone tiles. To defend yourself or strike enemies, you have to connect matching pips on the board.

• Play it Smart: Match a double Sword for a critical hit that breaks enemy armor! Match a double Shield for massive block!

• Play it Desperate: Run out of valid moves? Your bones will glow red. You can force a piece onto the board with a "Desperation Play," but it’s going to cost you your own HP.

Build Your Arsenal Gather gold to spend at the Marrow Merchant, rest at campfires to heal up (or sacrifice bones for permanent health boosts), and hunt down Elites to earn game-changing Artifacts. Whether you're stacking poison, relying on heavy shields, or setting enemies on fire, the build variety is entirely up to you.

• Multiple Classes: Start as the Knight or unlock the Rogue, Alchemist, Wizard, Archer, and Necromancer. Each brings unique starting relics and a completely different playstyle.

• Wildcards & Loot: Unearth special Obsidian, Gold, and Iron bones that act as wildcards to save you from a tight spot.

• The Heist: Manage to defeat the boss? Steal the Obsidian Key and make a mad dash for the Void Gate to win the run!

• Weird & Wild Encounters: Meet a bizarre cast of tomb-dwellers. From rattling jesters to dumpster-diving ghouls, you'll have to make choices that can either reward you with treasure or leave you cursed.
