What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Waste No Space is my first commercially released game and an experiment in that regard. I want to shape the game the best way possible and that needs a lot of feedback. Balancing is the biggest concern, but I am very open to player ideas regarding additional content.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Early access is supposed to last for about half a year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For full release I plan to add more vfx elements and variations of space debris, interactive content and more random events, as well as expanding upon the current narration.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“During Early Access you will be able to play the casual mode of the game with all core systems implemented. Some of these systems have yet to be filled with additional content variations. Also, balancing is subject to change based on player feedback. Expect to stumble upon bugs as systems are refined and new content is added.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I will raise the price once leaving early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“A high frequency of updates that contain balancing experiments and new content enables me to add community based ideas. Players will be able to comment and influence many details of the game. The easiest way is here on Steam in my community page or on the discord server. If we get nerdy enough, i might host a matrix server.”

About This Game

In WASTE NO SPACE you explore space while constantly balancing resources and pollution. It requires you to think ahead and get more difficult depending on your personal play style.

Your job is simple: Produce power by building more and more reactors. Then, shoot the radioactive waste into space! Watch our beautiful galaxy as it gets filled up with greenish glowing packages full of left-overs.

Fling satellites into orbit and explore what is out there! Find new tech to help you reach farther out and survive longer. Find out about nerdy space facts to brag about during the next conversation with a sexy alien.

The more waste you shoot into space, the tighter it gets up there and you will end your game by drowning your planet in toxic garbage. On the bright side: You get points for everything, but mostly for how long you managed to survive, how much power you produced and how much waste you sent into space.

So what's it about?

I designed Waste No Space to be easy to play but hard to master. You can play it casually for a few minutes or try to beat the game again and again to achieve a new high score and unlock all collectible fragments out there.

It is a game about precision and tactics, while being satisfying to play with.

How to play?

You have your available technology on the left side. Build new reactors to generate more power, but also more waste. Use your mouse to shoot that waste into space, before your planet overflows with nuclear garbage. To shoot waste into space, simply click and drag from your planet and let go. Like a slingshot. Or that game about mean birds.
