Our goal is to build the game alongside the community, improving it over time based on how players actually play, not just internal testing.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect FOAMGRAVE to remain in Early Access until late 2026 or potentially into 2027.
The exact duration will depend on development progress, feature expansion, and ensuring the game reaches a stable and polished state. Our priority is to improve quality and content at a sustainable pace rather than rush to a final release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already includes the core gameplay loop and multiplayer experience, but we plan to significantly expand the game over time.

We plan to:

Introduce additional ships and customization options
Expand the world with new locations, towns, and points of interest
Add more trade routes and economic depth
Expand ship upgrades and progression systems
Continue improving balance, performance, and stability

Overall, the full version is intended to offer a larger, deeper, and more polished experience, while staying true to the core sandbox gameplay established in Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of FOAMGRAVE is fully playable and includes its core multiplayer sandbox systems.

Players can:

Play solo or with friends in co-op
Engage in PvP combat with other players
Fight NPC pirates and gather loot
Upgrade and customize their ships
Participate in trading and exploration across the open ocean

The foundation of the game is in place, but it is still actively being improved, expanded, and optimized.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“FOAMGRAVE will enter Early Access as a free-to-play experience, with optional microtransactions for cosmetic items such as skins. We plan to continue supporting the game with cosmetic purchases. As development progresses, we may evaluate additional pricing options for the full release.

Our goal is to keep the game accessible while supporting ongoing development in a fair and sustainable way.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play a key role throughout Early Access.
We plan to:
