About This Game

Runecaster's Grimoire is a turn-based roguelite where you cast spells from runes and power them with a bag full of living spellbooks.

Every turn you draw a hand of runes, each with a rank from 1 to 9 and one of four elements: Fire, Ice, Curse and Arcane. Pick up to five and cast them as a pattern, like a pair, a straight or a full house. Your spell's damage is Power x Mult.

The twist is your Tome Bag. Each rune you cast strikes the column of your bag that matches its rank, and the tomes in that column fire at full strength. Where you place each book decides how your spells grow, so every run becomes a puzzle of shapes, columns and synergies.

Features

• Poker-pattern spellcasting: build Pairs, Straights, Flushes and Full Houses out of elemental runes, then level up your favourite patterns.
  
• Backpack-style tome bag: drag, rotate and arrange 71 tomes on a grid. Stack synergies, merge recipes and expand your bag with new pieces.
  
• Elemental effects: Fire burns, Ice shields, Curse weakens enemy attacks and Arcane draws extra runes.
  
• Three acts on branching maps: fights, elites, shops, rest sites, treasure and mysterious events.
  
• Boss rules that change every run: no fire runes, no pairs, a muted column and more. Plan around them, or reroll them.
  
• Six schools to unlock, each with its own starting tome, satchel and playstyle: Apprentice, Pyromancer, Cryomancer, Hexer, Scribe and Bookbinder.
  
• Runes you can enhance, seal and gild, plus scrolls, sigil circles and forbidden pages to bend the rules.
  
• Fully playable with the mouse. Available in English and Thai.
