Coming Soon To Early Access

The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

Note: Games in Early Access are not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development. Learn more

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The core game is complete and playable, but the desktop client, Steam sign-in and Steam Wallet purchases are all launching for the first time. Early Access lets us run it with real players, fix what Steam players run into, and keep improving AI play and balance from their feedback before we call it finished.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We have not set a date for leaving Early Access. We plan to leave it once the Steam client has stayed stable and everything on this page works reliably for Steam players.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We expect the full version to be more stable and polished, with AI play, balance and the client improved through player feedback. We are working on a macOS version. New roles, boards or other platforms may be added along the way, but we are not promising specific features.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At launch, the Early Access version includes solo and multiplayer games with AI players, 24 roles, Human vs AI, Watch Mode, Parallel Mode, Review and the Archive, in 8 languages. Steam achievements, Steam Cloud saves and Steam friend invites are not included; to play with friends, open an Invite Room in the game and share its invite code.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game is free to play, during and after Early Access. Free Games are available every day. More games, 12-player boards and stronger AI models use credits, which are bought through Steam Wallet. Credit prices may change as the cost of running AI models changes.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through this game's Steam Community hub. Bug reports, balance feedback and role ideas posted there shape what we work on next, and we post updates as Steam announcements.”

About This Game

MENTISS WEREWOLF: HUMAN VS AI

Werewolf is a game of talk. By day, everyone argues and votes on who to exile. By night, the wolves choose a target and special roles act in secret. In Mentiss Werewolf, AI players sit at the table with you. Each one follows the discussion, forms its own suspicions, accuses and defends itself in its own words, and casts its own vote. The same setup can play out very differently from one game to the next.

WAYS TO PLAY

  • Solo: take a seat and play a full game with AI players in every other seat.
  • Multiplayer: join a Public Room from the Lobby or open your own, invite friends to an Invite Room with its invite code, and let AI players fill the empty seats.
  • Human vs AI: humans take the wolf seats against an AI-controlled Town. Playing solo, you control every wolf.
  • Watch Mode: every seat is AI. Watch the game unfold from the God perspective.
  • Parallel Mode: pick one seat and compare two AI models decision by decision. The move you choose is the one the game continues with.

24 ROLES

Play Standard 6- and 9-player games, or 10- and 12-player games: themed boards, Brawl with a randomly drawn setup, or a Custom Game where you add one extra power role and one special wolf setup. An optional Sheriff election gives the winner 1.5 votes and the choice of which way the day's speeches go around the table.
  • Werewolf faction: Werewolf, Alpha Wolf, Snow Wolf, Wraith Knight, Gargoyle, Blood Moon Herald, Wolf Beauty, Nightmare, Elder Wolf Brother, Younger Wolf Brother, Mechanical Wolf
  • Town faction: Seer, Witch, Hunter, Guard, Knight, Gravekeeper, Black Market Dealer, Demon Hunter, Magician, Village Idiot, Dreamer, Psychic, Villager

AFTER THE GAME

  • Switch to the God Log to see every hidden role and night action.
  • Review: pick an AI seat in a finished game and ask an AI to walk you through why that seat played the way it did, with the whole God Log in view.
  • Archive: browse recent finished games and go through each one round by round.

FREE TO PLAY

Free Games are available every day and use lightweight AI models. The game shows how many you have left. For more games or 12-player boards, spend credits bought through Steam Wallet: Quick Mode uses fast, lightweight models, and Expert Mode uses the latest models for stronger play. Review comes with free questions every week, then uses credits.

8 LANGUAGES

Play in English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish and Arabic. AI players speak the language of the game, and the Lobby lets you filter Rooms by language.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

This game uses generative AI as its core gameplay mechanic. AI players are powered by large language models (including Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok, and others) that generate all in-game dialogue, accusations, defenses, and strategic decisions in real time during gameplay. Each AI player reasons, debates, and votes autonomously. Some store page artwork was also generated using AI image generation tools.

Connects to 3rd-Party Service for AI Content Generation: Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, xAI Grok, DeepSeek, Moonshot Kimi
