Why Early Access?

“PROTOCOL: Zero-day relies on a very delicate balance between brutal Hack'n'Slash difficulty and the empowering progression of a Roguelite. Early Access is the best way for us to collaborate directly with the community to fine-tune this balance, test new builds, and adjust the procedural generation based on your actual feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We anticipate the Early Access phase will be relatively short, lasting around 3 to 6 months. The core game is already fully playable from start to finish. This period is strictly dedicated to balancing, polishing, and adding endgame content based on community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Since the main campaign is already playable, our focus for the 1.0 release is entirely on expanding the depth of the game. We plan to add a dedicated 'Endgame' loop for hardcore players, introduce new gear and spell variations, fine-tune the balancing, and potentially introduce additional features such as new playable characters, expanded skill trees, and even more equipment categories.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The entire main campaign is complete! You can already explore all 5 procedurally generated worlds, fight the 5 main bosses, unlock spells, optimize your builds, and reach the game's ending. The core combat and roguelite loops are fully functional and highly polished.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to increase the price gradually as we ship new content and features throughout the Early Access period. Players who join us early will benefit from a lower entry price as a thank you for their support during development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The official PROTOCOL: Zero-day Discord server is our primary communication node with the community. There are no middlemen or automated filters here, you speak directly to the creator. We rely on your combat data and surgical feedback to calibrate the threat level, balance the builds, and hunt down systemic bugs. Dedicated channels are already open for bug reports, build sharing, and gameplay tuning. Join the network, share your incursions, and help us forge the ultimate Hack'n'Slash experience.”

Plunged into a ruthless cyber-apocalyptic world, you have only one objective: purge the infected networks. The system is relentless, death is inevitable, but your power survives every failure.
