About This Game

The sound of waves brushes softly past my ears, and my mind sinks into a deep blue silence.
In corners of the school, along rain-damp paths, beneath the café’s warm glow, I always seem to catch sight of her—a mysterious yet gentle girl who is always alone.

Her figure whispering to seabirds, her slow fingers turning the pages of a blue book, the unconscious gesture of touching her wrist… All of it lingers deep in my mind, as if placed under a spell, impossible to forget.

And yet, I know almost nothing about her.

Between unfamiliarity and a strange sense of nostalgia, I find myself longing to draw closer—to read the thoughts hidden behind her eyes, and to understand her secret.

Can I move past this unspoken unease?

Everything lies hidden in the depths of the unfathomable sea.

The Name Tide Left is a story-driven game told from the perspective of Miryn, a high school girl. With a soft, lyrical tone, it portrays the emotional story between girls while blending elements of fantasy, science fiction, and mystery.

The story takes place in a fictional seaside town. The protagonist, Miryn, meets a mysterious girl—someone with an aura that naturally draws others close, yet who always keeps to herself, like a stranger who suddenly appeared in the classroom. Fascinated by this mystery, Miryn begins to close the distance between them and uncover the secrets the girl holds.

Built around storytelling, the game adopts a progressive multi-playthrough structure. Light exploration, puzzle-solving, and minigames are woven into the experience, allowing the story to unfold little by little with each playthrough.

Together with Miryn, players will wander through the school and the seaside town, drawing, taking notes, and searching for clues. Through different choices and actions, help her clear away the haze and reveal the secret hidden deep within.

Miryn is an ordinary high school girl and the protagonist of this story. She lives in a quiet seaside town and works part-time at a nearby café after school. In her free time, she loves spending time at her secret spot on campus. She is good at drawing and has a special fondness for grilled fish served at an old fisherman’s hut by the coast.

She has a rich inner world and enjoys many otaku hobbies. Though not adept at taking the initiative to make friends, she always observes the people and events around her with careful attention.

A mysterious transfer student who always carries a blue-covered book. A faint scent of the sea lingers around her.

At first glance, she seems gentle and approachable. Yet she always keeps to herself, maintaining a subtle distance from those around her—as if hiding a secret no one else knows.

Miryn’s physics teacher and assistant homeroom teacher came to this seaside town with a clear purpose.

With extensive and dependable knowledge of physics, the teacher also has a personal passion for photography. The teacher often takes photos along the coast and gladly volunteers for group shots during class events.

The teacher’s classes have a calm, free-spirited atmosphere. When a lesson touches on a topic of personal interest, the teacher tends to get carried away and drift from the main subject. Even so, this unique personality and charm have made the teacher well-liked among students.

• Multi-Playthrough Experience — The story unfolds progressively across multiple playthroughs. New chapters are unlocked with each run, allowing players to piece together the full picture little by little.

• This is a story-driven game. Completing all endings across multiple playthroughs takes roughly 3–5 hours. All content in the game is fictional and has no connection to real-life events or people.

• Keyboard controls are recommended: use the arrow keys ↑↓←→ to move, hold Shift to walk faster; Space / Enter / Z to confirm or investigate; Esc / X to cancel or open the menu.

• The game auto-saves whenever the scene changes during story segments. During free movement sections, you can also open the menu with Esc / X and save manually.

• Certain story sequences may temporarily close the game window. This is an intentional part of the story presentation and not a crash. If this happens before you reach the true ending, simply restart the game to continue.

• The game is still being fine-tuned. Please refer to the official release version for the final content.
