Play as a juggler

On your way to perform at the king's wedding, your entire troupe vanishes without a trace. Armed only with your juggling skills and a magical lasso gifted by the mysterious Wak Wak Tree, you set out into a world drawn from lesser-known folktales to rescue your friends from the demons that took them.

Juggle your way through combat

Forget swinging swords! Rootknot's combat runs on a physics-based loop-drawing mechanic fresh out of the box. Toss your items into the air, then loop around the ones you want to grab and activate. Every item behaves differently: a bomb damages you and enemies, a pipe heals you when dropped but hurts you if grabbed, and a magnet pulls in anything metal. Read the air, time your loop, and turn chaos into a combo.

Face demons that twist the rules

Special enemies change the course of the game against you. A Poltergeist slips a mimic item into your hand that copies one of your real items. You know the drill, grab a mimic and be punished for it! A Changeling makes your items fade invisible mid-air. Every encounter forces you to adapt your reads on the fly.

Build a deck you can bet on

Strategic deck-building meets dexterity-driven action. Collect items, relics, and crafting materials as you go. Place a bet before diving into each dungeon, then assemble a deck that suits your playstyle. Back at your shelter, spend crafting materials to upgrade your base, unlock new dungeons, and reveal fresh relics and items.

Meet the wanderers of a stranger world

Along the way, you'll run into friendlier, yet demanding characters with their own tricky requests. Like a stranger who asks you to carry a handful of seahorses across an entire biome without ever letting them drop to get a worthy reward.
