Why Early Access?

“We want to build Culinary Conquest together with
our community. The core gameplay is fun and fully
playable, but we have big plans for more countries,
more food weapons, and expanded game modes. Early
Access lets us gather real player feedback to shape
what gets added and prioritize what matters most.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to be in Early Access for approximately
6 to 12 months. We have a clear roadmap and are
actively developing new content, so we expect to
move quickly toward a full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add more playable countries, each with
unique food weapons and playstyles. The Challenge
Mode roguelike campaign will be fully fleshed out
with more levels, boss fights, and loot variety.
We also plan to improve PVP balancing based on
community feedback and add additional game modes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable with 13 countries,
online PVP via matchmaking, offline vs AI mode,
and an early version of the Challenge Mode
roguelike campaign. All core systems including
combat, food weapons, health bars, and loot
pickups are functional.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We are not planning to raise the price when we
leave Early Access. Early adopters get the best
deal for supporting us from the start.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively involve our community through
Steam discussions, community polls for new country
additions, and a dedicated Reddit community. Player
feedback will directly influence our development
priorities and content roadmap.”

About This Game

Culinary Clash is a multiplayer game built in Unity using Photon for networking, where each playable character represents a different country. The game has two main modes: an infinite roguelike campaign where players accumulate permanent buffs and debuffs on their chosen country's character across runs, and a PvP multiplayer mode where players bring that same character, with all its permanent progression, into matches against others. Matchmaking is ELO-based. Player data is stored per account and displayed on the main menu, showing the player's username, their PvP ELO, and their highest roguelike campaign score. The game is being uploaded to Steam via SteamPipe with the Unity build, and uses PlayFab for secure server-side storage of character data including the buff/debuff lists, ELO, and high scores.
