Leaving Early Access: Sep 30, 2026

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The core game loop is complete and fully playable, but Early Access allows me to expand content, balance systems, and add features based on real player feedback. I believe the people playing the game should help shape its future.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I expect Ironblood to be in Early Access for approximately 3-6 months. I will exit Early Access when the full feature set is complete, the game is thoroughly balanced, and the community is satisfied with the experience.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Ironblood will include expanded content across all major systems. I plan to add Steam Achievements, Steam Workshop mod support, additional lore events, expanded rival house behaviours, deeper fighter interaction systems, and further Emperor progression content. I also plan to add additional arenas, fighters, and world-building content based on community feedback.

The core game loop is fully playable now and will continue to be refined throughout Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Ironblood is fully playable from end to end. The core systems are all functional including fighter recruitment and management, event creation, fight simulation with permadeath, the spy network, rival house AI, the Emperor stat and perk system, the World Chronicle, the d20 decision system, Hall of Fame, pound-for-pound rankings. The game is fully playable and delivers a complete dynasty management experience. Early Access allows me to expand and polish based on real player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community will be central to Ironblood's development. I plan to actively gather feedback through Steam discussions and X, run regular developer updates and patch notes, hold polls on upcoming features and balance changes, and prioritise the most requested improvements in each update. Players who get involved early will directly shape what Ironblood becomes at 1.0.”

About This Game

You are not the fighter. You are the one who finds him, signs him, builds him, books him and watches everything fall apart when the bell rings.

IRONBLOOD is a dark fantasy combat promotion management sim set in a brutal empire built around the arena. You begin with a fighting house, a limited treasury and a stable of unknown men. What happens next is yours.

Scout new talent. Negotiate contracts. Manage morale, injuries and egos. Build complete fight cards. Crown champions. Create rivalries. Turn raw prospects into legends.

Then advance the week and live with what you have done.

THE WORLD DOES NOT WAIT FOR YOU

Every campaign begins with a newly generated world of fighters.

While you manage your own house, rival promotions are recruiting, cutting fighters, chasing champions and making plans of their own. Rankings change. Contracts run down. Injuries heal. Fighters age. Opportunities disappear.

The empire keeps moving whether you are ready or not.

FIGHTERS HAVE CAREERS, NOT JUST STATS

Every fighter has his own attributes, style, personality, ambitions, morale, fame, relationships and physical limits.

A young prospect can develop into a champion. A dominant veteran can decline faster than expected. Repeated opponents can become bitter rivals. Broken promises can destroy trust. Too many hard fights can shorten a career.

Some men retire as legends.

Some never leave the arena.

YOU DO YOUR WORK BEFORE THE BELL

Build each Blood Night from the main event down. Balance competitive fights against spectacle. Protect prospects or throw them into deep water. Settle rivalries. Book title fights. Give the crowd a night worth remembering.

Once the fight begins, there is no health potion and no reload hidden beneath the sand.

The simulation plays every bout round by round, driven by fighter attributes, styles, conditioning, momentum, damage and decision making. Full commentary, presentation, sound and music bring each fight to life.

Knockouts happen. Submissions happen. Careers change in seconds.

Permadeath is real.

RULE THE HOUSE

Your Emperor develops alongside the promotion.

Build authority, reputation, cunning, martial knowledge, wealth and legacy. Unlock perks that change how you recruit, negotiate, train, scout and rule.

When the empire demands an answer, critical decisions are resolved through a d20 roll modified by the ruler you have become.

Sometimes the dice save you.

Sometimes they bury you.

EVERY CAMPAIGN WRITES ITS OWN HISTORY

The Chronicle records the world as it changes. Fight cards, results, championships, rivalries, records and major events become part of your campaign’s history.

The Hall of Fame remembers the greatest fighters to compete under your banner. The Trophy Room preserves the blood, relics and strange rewards gathered along the way.

Years later, you will still remember the undefeated champion who built your house.

You will also remember the night he lost everything.

BUILD THE CARD. RULE THE HOUSE. WRITE THE LEGACY.
