About This Game

Yamasen-Chan’s Hermit Home Designer+ is a cozy visual novel and home-design game about helping a socially withdrawn girl build a life inside a series of homes. She has not stepped outside in a long time and is very determined to make her home feel perfect — it’s her whole world after all!

Yamasen-Chan goes on a journey to find the best and most secluded home she can. She talks to you while you decorate her spaces, revealing her personality and worldview. She rambles about her comforts and fears, sometimes getting excited about a new piece of furniture you place down, at other times slipping into philosophical musings about what it means to live in isolation. Yamasen-Chan is charming, awkward, and surprisingly thoughtful.

Your role is simple. Listen to her, decorate her rooms, and help her create a space that feels warm, expressive, and maybe even a little hopeful.

Design Her World

Choose from more than one hundred pieces of furniture, decorations, and cute clutter. Rotate and scale items to create the exact mood you want. Minimalist, maximalist, chaotic, serene, or something in between. Each home has its own personality, and each one reflects Yamasen-Chan’s search for the perfect place to hide away.

A Cozy Story With a Heart

Between decorating sessions, you read through a complete visual novel story about isolation, comfort, and the strange logic of building a life inside four walls. The tone is gentle and cute, but it also has moments of dark humor and quiet melancholy. Yamasen-Chan is honest about her worries and fears, but she also finds the humor in them.
