About This Game

🌑 Seven Nights In The Dark

Some kids are afraid of the dark. Ethan has real reasons to be.

Ethan is a 10-year-old boy just like any other — until the lights go out.

He suffers from REM Sleep Behaviour Disorder, a rare sleep condition that turns every single night into an inescapable nightmare. Intense night terrors. Sleepless hours. Lucid dreams so vivid that the line between sleep and reality completely disappears. The doctors call it a disorder. Ethan knows it's something more.

Every evening, when his mom wishes him goodnight and turns off the light, the same nightmare is waiting for him. Same nightmare. Same room. Same four demons.

⏰ 10:00 PM — The nightmare begins

The moment the clock strikes 10 PM, you are trapped inside Ethan's mind. His bedroom becomes a cage. The door — your only connection to the rest of the world. The window — a gateway you do not want to open. And somewhere in the darkness, something is moving.

Four demons haunt Ethan night after night. They are not random. They are not loud. They are patient, calculated, and they know exactly where to look. Each one has its own behaviour, its own weaknesses, and its own moments where it becomes unstoppable.

Your mission is simple: survive until 6:00 AM.

Ethan's mom wakes him up every morning at six. If you make it that far, the nightmare ends — for that night. But there are six more to go.

🛏️ Survival has rules

Inside Ethan's bedroom, you have a few ways to protect yourself. Simple ones. But vital.

Hide under the bed — the darkness there can keep you safe, if you know when to use it

Get inside the closet — a classic hiding spot, but not always a reliable one

Close the bedroom door — keeps the demons at bay, at least for a while

Turn on the heater — the warmth drives some of them away, but not all

No method is foolproof. No hiding spot stays safe forever. You will need to learn how to read the signs, listen carefully to every sound, and make fast decisions under pressure. One second of hesitation can cost you everything.

🌒 Seven nights. Seven nightmares.

Each night is harder than the one before. The demons grow more aggressive. Their patterns shift. What worked on Night 1 might not save you on Night 4.

As the nights go on, you will learn more about Ethan, about his condition, and about what truly lurks inside his nightmares. Not everything is just fear. Some things have an explanation. Others do not.

Seven nights. Four demons. One bedroom.

Do you think you can make it until morning?

💡 About the disorder

REM Sleep Behaviour Disorder (RBD) is a real sleep condition in which the brain's normal mechanism for muscle paralysis during REM sleep fails to activate properly. Those affected physically act out their dreams — moving, talking, screaming. Nightmares are frequent, intense and extremely vivid. While it primarily affects adults, rare cases have been documented in children as well.

Seven Nights In The Dark is a work of fiction inspired by this real condition, created with respect for those who live with it every day — or rather, every night.

Goodnight, Ethan. Sweet Dreams.

🌑 Seven Nights In The Dark — survive the nightmare, one night at a time.
