“I currently expect Subsurface to remain in Early Access for approximately 12 months. This timeline may change depending on community feedback and development progress. Our goal is to use this time to expand the game with additional content, improve existing systems, polish the overall experience, and ensure the best possible full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version provides the core Subsurface experience, including online co-op gameplay, multiple environments, monsters, progression, and the core gameplay loop. During Early Access, I plan to expand the game with additional maps, monsters, items, objectives, gameplay features, quality-of-life improvements, balancing, performance optimizations, bug fixes, and overall polish. Community feedback will help determine which features and improvements are prioritized throughout development.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version includes the core Subsurface experience with online co-op gameplay, multiple playable environments, unique monsters, progression, objectives, proximity voice chat, and the core gameplay loop. While the game is fully playable, players may encounter bugs, balancing issues, and unfinished features as development continues. I will continue improving stability, expanding content, and refining the overall experience throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to offer Subsurface at a lower price during Early Access. As the game grows with additional content, features, and polish, I may increase the price when it reaches full release to reflect the expanded experience.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play an important role throughout Early Access. I plan to actively listen to player feedback, bug reports, and suggestions to help prioritize improvements, balance gameplay, fix issues, and guide future updates. My goal is to make Subsurface a better experience by working closely with the community as development continues.”
