About This Game

A derailed train. A collapsed tunnel deep inside a mountain. A handful of survivors huddled around a fire, and the food is running out.

Iron Throat is a 1-4 player co-op survival horror game. Your goal is to find a way out of the mountain, and to bring as many of the survivors with you as you can. Each day your group leaves the wreck and heads deeper into the strange places inside the mountain, scavenging food, medicine and anything that brings you closer to escape.

Go out together

  • Explore places whose layouts change between expeditions, each stranger than the last.
  • Talk with proximity voice chat. The things in the dark can hear you too.
  • Solve environmental puzzles, share what you find, and get creative with a pile of strange items, from simple tools to an injection that lets you play dead.
  • Decide when to push deeper and when to turn back with what you have.

Come back to something

  • Everything you bring home feeds the camp. Let the food run out and the survivors start to fall apart.
  • Get patched up by an exhausted nurse, trade scrap for gear, and coax a dead locomotive radio back to life.
  • Death is not always the end. A strange machine at the camp can bring the dead back, but every return burns one of its few remaining lights.

Things that hunt you

  • Every place has its own creatures, and some of them are much bigger than you.
  • Bosses stand between you and the way out. Some can be outsmarted, others demand you come prepared.
