Escape the Umbra is a tactical roguelike deckbuilder set inside a shifting prison labyrinth. Plan your route, read the room, and build turns where positioning matters as much as the cards in your hand.

PLAN YOUR DESCENT

A branching dungeon map with combat, merchant, treasure, campfire, and arcane room routes.

Choose connected routes through combat, merchants, treasure, campfires, and arcane rooms. Every branch trades safety, resources, and opportunity.

TURN THE LABYRINTH INTO A WEAPON

The player aims a Cleaver Hook card across a tiled combat room to push enemies through hazards.

Push enemies into traps, use terrain and elements, chain forced movement into area attacks, and build decisive turns from the room itself.

BUILD A RUN THAT CHANGES HOW YOU FIGHT

The character loadout screen showing equipped gear, inventory items, and a deck of ability cards.

Buy cards, claim relics, learn and attune magic, equip new gear, and shape a deck around the synergies you discover.

BRING LIGHT INTO THE UMBRA

The player illuminates a shadowed combat room with a lantern while enemies gather beyond the light.

Darkness hides threats. Carry light into shadowed spaces, reveal what waits there, and keep descending toward the prison’s deepest secret.
