About This Game

MURINO: The Fog Is Coming is an atmospheric first-person horror game about the life of a courier in the endless district of Murino, where towering apartment blocks disappear into the fog, familiar routes stop being reliable, and an ordinary delivery job gradually turns into a fight for survival.

The player lives in one of Murino's apartments, in Building P-352, and works as a courier. Each day begins like a routine: accept an order, leave the apartment, pass through entrances, courtyards, and service passages, reach the destination, and return home. But in Murino, even simple work quickly becomes dangerous. The buildings here stretch on endlessly, the courtyards all look alike, and the Fog and Samosbor make familiar paths less and less safe.

In the world of the game, no resident has a name - only a personal identifier. Every citizen here is part of a system of record-keeping controlled by the PARTY. Even money in Murino is not really money: instead of a conventional currency, the city uses QVT - quota, a unit of account that reflects not so much wealth as an allowed volume of consumption. It is a currency designed not for freedom, but for control - another way to turn everyday life into a regulated norm.

An important part of the game is the radio.
As you play, you can listen to music, news, and broadcasts from different stations, through which the structure of Murino is gradually revealed.
On the radio, you will hear:

UKV-01 "ORDER" - the official voice of the PARTY, propaganda, reports, and the justification of violence in the name of stability

VANYA FM "NAMES LIVE" - the revolutionaries' broadcast, the conflict with the PARTY, calls to action, threats, and an alternative truth

"THE FOG HERALD" - myths, rumors, legends, and disturbing stories about what is happening in Murino

"DELIVERY 24" - everyday background noise, the routine of courier life, advice, instructions, and a sense of false normality

In MURINO, the radio is not just music in the background. It is one of the main sources of information about the world, the events unfolding in the city, the clashes between the PARTY and the revolutionaries, the suppression of protests, disappearances, and the things people in Murino do not speak about out loud.

The sewer system plays a separate role - the lower layer of the city, hidden beneath courtyards and entrances. It is not just a shortcut, but an important part of exploring the world. Here, you can find an underground shop and get items that help you survive another trip out: cigarettes, alcohol, food, and other things that create the illusion of stability and control over your own life. In Murino, even such small comforts become part of survival.

As the game progresses, the courier's routine begins to intersect with larger events. Orders, routes, choices, and contact with different sides of the conflict gradually pull the player deeper into the life of the city. Murino remains a residential district only on the surface - in reality, it is a closed system where the Fog hides what should not be seen, the PARTY controls everyday life, and every time you leave your apartment, you may end up somewhere you were never meant to reach.

The entrances in Murino rise so high that no one knows how many floors they really have anymore. Among the residents, one simple warning is passed around: the main thing is never to end up on the 1001st floor.
