About This Game

Welcome to your national park.

Your beautiful national park awaits. Build peaceful trails, cozy campsites, fun activities, and welcoming amenities for your park's visitors. Hire rangers to maintain your park and keep your visitors safe. Balance nature with the hustle and bustle of visitor activity. Watch your visitors enjoy all that your park has to offer!

Every decision you make influences your park's scores and your visitors' moods. As you play, you can earn badges and meet objectives to unlock the next park in the game.

Or, you can just play for fun when you choose "Free Build". Choose one of the existing maps, generate a new random map, or start with a blank slate and build all of your terrain from scratch before opening your park and welcoming your visitors!

Add trails, activities and amenities to attract visitors.

The "Build" button offers tons of things to build in your game. You may want to start with some comforting park amenities like a visitor center, restroom, and benches, then build an activity like a kayak/canoe rental, and finally design your first official hiking trail!

Add campsites to encourage longer visitor stays.

Add cozy campsites anywhere you'd like—nestled in shady trees, along peaceful riverbanks, or at the base of majestic mountains! Your visitors will pitch tents, build fires, and enjoy the serenity of nature at your campsites.

Watch your visitors explore and enjoy your park.

Every visitor has scores like hunger, excitement and mood. Everything you build in your park, and where you build it, affects your visitors' scores. Make sure to place restrooms, restaurants, and benches throughout your park so your visitors are never too far from a bathroom or food when they need it!

Hire park rangers to keep your park safe and clean.

Rangers are the glue that holds your park together. Without them, your trails will become littered with trash and blocked by fallen logs, your visitors will get lost and maybe even attacked by bears, and your facilities will close from lack of maintenance. You can assign different tasks to different rangers, and you can draw boundaries for your rangers to ensure your entire park is covered. Make sure to hire enough rangers to keep your park running smoothly!

Keep your wild animals wild.

When you first start a park, there will be some wild animals living in it. Predatory animals like bears and wolves can eat prey animals like deer and rabbits, so you'll need to keep an eye on your animal populations and make sure none of them become endangered!

Some decisions you make in your park can influence the animal populations. For example, building up too much of your land will remove some of the animals' natural habitat, and they'll be more likely to invade your trails. If you build a fishing activity that allows too many visitors to fish at once, you may make more money but your fish population could dwindle, leaving your bears hungry, and causing them to steal food from your visitors!

Meet objectives and earn badges as you play

Each of the five parks in National Park Tycoon is based on a real-life national park. In order to progress through them, you'll need to meet 3 objectives for each. These objectives may be financial goals like "Earn $25,000 in gift shop revenue," park performance goals like "Keep your safety score above 90% for 10 days," or gameplay goals like "Maintain a campsite occupancy rate of 90% for 20 days."

There are also 50 badges you can earn as you play! You'll be able to earn many of them organically just by playing, like "Build 5 Viewpoints" or "Welcome 1,000 visitors to your visitor center." Others, you'll have to work harder for! You may even stumble upon a secret 51st badge...

Have fun building your national park, and happy trails!

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

AI was used in the initial generation of some art, but we heavily edited the images in Photoshop before placing them into the game to ensure the perspective was correct and the images didn’t contain any “AI Slop.”

We promise that if our game sells 20,000+ copies, we will hire a real artist to replace the art, and we will release the new art as a patch to all players who have previously purchased the game.
