What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“LUNADUN: LUNATIC DUNGEON is a game where player choices determine the fate of each character. We chose Early Access to gather feedback from players and improve the game ahead of its full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to leave Early Access in the first half of 2027, following a major update that will implement the true ending.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is planned to include routes for three main characters, with both salvation and destruction endings. We plan to release a major update around the first half of 2027, which may include the true ending — the Mamacona route. We will also address bug fixes and UI improvements based on player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version covers Day 1 of the in-game story, with full support for Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese. The Early Access version will include all five days of the story. The estimated playtime per playthrough is approximately 90 minutes, with 270–360 minutes to complete all endings.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will remain the same during Early Access and after the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“You can join our Discord server (LUNADUN Official Community) to report bugs and contribute to translations. Player feedback will be reflected in future updates.”

About This Game

Introduction

Do you have a favorite character?

Picking the one that speaks to you, going on adventures together, having conversations — that's one of the best parts of any game.

But have you ever wondered: what happens to the characters who never got to be your favorite? How do they feel during all that time you weren't there? When you next open the game, do you really think they'll greet you with a smile — just like your favorite always does?

LUNADUN: LUNATIC DUNGEON is an adventure game built around that very question. Your choices determine the fate of every character.

Characters

Galuo "Your Childhood Friend" / "The Childhood Friend Someone Wanted"

A hotheaded young man who charges headlong into a dangerous dungeon, driven by a single-minded desire to save a mutual friend. Beneath the surface, however, he is slowly consumed by the compulsion that he must never stop living up to everyone's expectations.

Albie "An Ordinary Scout" / "A Scout Who Could Never Be Special"

A earnest young man who joins the party despite his doubts about the mission. Neglected by his father in childhood, he came to believe he has no worth of his own — and has held himself together ever since by making himself replaceable.

Megalis "A Wandering Monster" / "A Monster Who Survived Anyway"

A mysterious monster woman who leads a caravan. She has endured the harshest of conditions — stripped of dignity, armed with nothing but her wits. Even the tragedies she has suffered, she claims, are no one's fault but her own.

Mamakona "The Daughter of Fate"

A childhood friend waiting for you at the end of a long journey, at the very edge of the story. What meaning will her presence bring to all the choices and responsibilities you've accumulated along the way…?

You

You, in this game. A fleeting form, stripped of everything.

――Their fates are mirror images of each other. One person's salvation is another person's ruin.

"The ones you showed kindness to, the ones you turned away — you don't get to walk away from any of them."

Key Features

  • Inescapable Paired Fates The game features an affection system driven by your choices. But raising one character's affection will always, inevitably, lower another's. Salvation and ruin come as a pair — there is no comfortable middle ground.

  • Four Characters Four characters, each carrying their own grief and loneliness (one of whom will be added in a major update). They are not mere data — they are living individuals whose fates will be transformed by the choices you make.

  • The Weight of Every Choice Every click saves someone's future and destroys another's. Through the multi-ending system, players will be held — in the most literal sense — responsible for the consequences of their choices.

A Note on Translation

The developer is Japanese, and Japanese is their first language. All languages other than Japanese are currently AI-translated. If anything feels off or incorrect, please let us know on Discord! (You're also welcome to join the LUNADUN Community Translation Project.)
