About This Game

First: Returnate is still in the early stages. A playable demo will be available soon. This may be followed by an Early Access phase leading up to the release of the full game.

Returnate is a 2D top‑down roguelite with lovingly crafted pixel art, where you play as one of several unique heroes venturing through deadly dungeons and vibrant fantasy regions. Every run feels different: randomly selected rooms, new paths, random loot, and ever‑growing enemy threats ensure no two attempts are the same

Collect Bravery, level up your stats like HP, mana, force, stamina, and agility, and gradually shape a playstyle that truly fits you. With each level‑up your builds grow stronger and your decisions matter more – until a single mistake in the dungeon becomes the thin line between legend and a fresh new run.

As you defeat each boss, your character slowly regains their former glory and grows closer to becoming the hero they were meant to be, tying every major victory directly into the story of your return. On your journey you will explore gloomy dungeons, blazing forge halls, cursed graveyards, scorching deserts, enchanted gardens, and a mysterious fairy forest, each with its own enemies, traps, and atmosphere. Multiple difficulty settings from very easy to very hard let you decide whether you want to experiment in comfort or face a punishing roguelite challenge.

Death is part of the plan: every run teaches you something new, opens up different routes and combinations – until you are strong enough to claim your place among the old guards.
