What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access lets us develop the game together with the community. The core mechanics are already playable, but we want to expand the game with new tools, building systems, locations, and more chaotic co-op moments based on player feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect the game to stay in Early Access for about 6–12 months. During this time we plan to add new tools, construction mechanics, vehicles, locations, and improve the physics and co-op systems based on community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version focuses on the core idea of the game - chaotic physics-based co-op construction. Players can already experiment with building structures where every object has weight and real physical behavior.

For the full version, we plan to significantly expand the game. This includes adding more tools, building mechanics, construction vehicles, and new locations with different types of building challenges. We also plan to improve the physics interactions, add more gameplay systems, and introduce additional ways for players to approach construction tasks. Our goal is to grow the sandbox aspect of the game and create more situations where teamwork, improvisation, and physics chaos lead to memorable moments.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already includes the core gameplay systems. Players can build structures together using physics-based objects where every piece has weight and real physical behavior. The current version focuses on the foundation of the co-op construction experience, allowing players to transport materials, assemble structures, and experiment with different building approaches.

Some systems, tools, and gameplay features are still limited or in development. Early Access allows us to test the core mechanics, improve stability and physics interactions, and expand the game based on player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not plan to increase the price after the game leaves Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively listen to player feedback during Early Access. Community suggestions, discussions, and gameplay videos will help us understand what works well and what should be improved. We also plan to share development progress and gather ideas from players to help shape future updates and features.”

About This Game

Hold My Thing is a cooperative game for 2–4 players where you take on construction contracts and build structures together. All objects have weight and obey physics. There are no auto-snapping systems or building assists — your main tool is teamwork.

Physics-Based Construction

Every part of a structure has weight and follows the rules of physics.
Boards can bend, beams can lose balance, and poorly secured parts can bring the entire structure down.

One mistake can collapse everything you’ve been building for the last few minutes.

Work Together

Most tasks are impossible to complete alone.

While one player holds the structure in place, another secures the parts, and a third tries to keep the whole construction balanced.

Teamwork is the only way to finish the job.

Upgrade & Unlock

By completing contracts, you’ll gain access to new possibilities.

Upgrade your tools, unlock construction vehicles, and explore new locations with larger and more complex building challenges.

The further you progress, the more ways you’ll discover to solve construction problems.
