An arena based competitive PvP game. MMO/MOBA style combat. 3d pixel art (How does that make sense?). Let me emphasize, COMPETITIVE PVP GAME. Stay hydrated, because this game is sweaty AF.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“As a competitive PvP game, it is imperative that we iterate on our combat with live play from you, the player.

As much as we can test internally, it's simply not enough to offer a complete product.

Therefore, our goal with early access is to get live data from players engaging in our combat to iterate on what we have completed already while we develop further content. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“1 season, or ~2-4 months. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version to feature additional game modes, classes, progression, and rewards for participation.

However, we plan for Carved in Stone: Arena to always be a competitive instanced PvP matchmaking/lobby game at its core.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version features 10 classes each with 7 unique abilities.

Game mode content is limited to 1 round arena matches.

1 arena map is present.

It's certainly a little bit rough around the edges, but our pipeline allows for quick iteration and quick bug squashing. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will be free to play indefinitely. We have not ruled out adding microtransactions for cosmetics. Any other form of monetization is highly unlikely. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Focused playtests weekly with the developers. Daily discord discussion. This has already begun, and we would love for you to join us on this journey. ”

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Claude code = Lots of code. Within the game client/server sure, but particularly within our game creation pipeline. It has enabled our artists/unity devs to create their own scripts/tools with blender/unity to streamline our content creation process.

Also, CC used for creating python scripts used for MIDI music composition.

Flux Dev image gen = spell icons.

It did not write this message though :)

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Hey, this is a competitive PvP game. The depictions of combat, aren't particularly graphic. It's a 3d pixel game. There is blood.

The thing to consider more, is that, this is a competitive pvp game... with other players. While we have moderation measures in place, any online game, contains mature content because interaction with other individuals, is in fact mature content.
