What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Wraithlight is a complex multiplayer sandbox where the world dynamically reacts to player actions. Because we’ve built our own custom backend infrastructure to handle the player economy and maintain full control over data, entering Early Access is crucial for us to test our servers at scale. Furthermore, features like our evolving crafting system and the world's environmental 'push back' require extensive, real-world community feedback to balance properly so that the game feels challenging but fair.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We anticipate Wraithlight will remain in Early Access for roughly 12 to 18 months. This timeline provides us with the necessary runway to expand the regions of Archmyst, deepen the crafting possibilities, and ensure the multiplayer ecosystem is stable and engaging before our 1.0 launch.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the map of Archmyst with new, distinct regions and introduce more complex environmental consequences for over-harvesting. We intend to add a wider variety of base materials to expand the dynamic crafting system, alongside larger-scale server events like major rift anomalies. We also hope to flesh out the multiplayer experience with deeper alliance and territory control mechanics.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core foundation of Wraithlight is fully playable. Players can explore the initial dangerous regions of Archmyst, engage in the dynamic crafting system where outcomes change based on their approach, and experience the world's reactivity firsthand. Core multiplayer mechanics, including trading, alliances, and PvPvE combat, are implemented and functional.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship major new content updates and features, leading up to the final 1.0 release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is essential to balancing a dynamic sandbox like Wraithlight. We will be actively engaging with our players through our official Discord server and the Steam Community Discussions. Because our crafting system and Archmyst's environmental reactions are heavily driven by player behavior, we will be closely monitoring feedback to tune these mechanics. We plan to share regular development updates, discuss upcoming features, and adjust our roadmap based on the community's experiences and suggestions.”

About This Game

In Wraithlight, you’ll explore Archmyst: A kingdom filled with coveted technology, dangerous ethereal monsters, rare resources and secrets that could change the world in unimaginable ways.

You’ll fight your way through each region to gather new resources, uncover history, and expose the dark secrets of the Tserenhelm Alchemical Company who holds a monopoly on the kingdoms most advanced technology.

Exposing TAC is no easy task, so you will have to use the resources you find and the skills you build to craft the perfect tools and weapons for the job.

Discover blueprints for the gear you want to craft and make it your own by using materials with favorable qualities. Each blueprint gives you the techniques needed to create equipment with additional bonuses to the ones provided by your materials.

Although, obtaining the best materials won’t be easy. Even if gathering them is peaceful, the world of Archmyst isn’t known to give up its bounty without a price. Depleting resources causes instability in Lumenessent energy, which can make wildlife more aggressive, cause unnatural phenomena, or even draw others looking for violence close.

When danger strikes, it helps to have friends. Gathering in groups, forming alliances, establishing trade and exchanging knowledge are all invaluable feats in a world where strength is defined by your experience.

Leave your mark.

Your playstyle will affect your craft- each skill you build and every item you make will be reflected in your identity as an artisan, giving you the chance to create a legacy and perhaps even pass your techniques to the generations that come after you.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

This game contains frequent violence and blood associated with melee combat, boss encounters, and PvPvE engagements. The narrative explores dark themes of survival and betrayal. Because players can interact in an open-world environment, they may be exposed to unrated player-to-player communication.
