About This Game

The Story Behind Shark Town 🦈✨

Shark Town began as a dad building a game for his young kids.

After seeing how much toddlers enjoyed simply exploring and moving around in a safe game world, it became clear that what young children really wanted was freedom to explore without pressure. Many games are still too complex, too fast, or designed for older players. Most experiences don’t truly become accessible until age 6 and up.

So the idea evolved, what if kids could explore a peaceful ocean instead?

Built in Unreal Engine, Shark Town was created as a calm, safe underwater playground where young players can freely swim through a colorful ocean using a controller. Instead of driving trucks, children guide friendly sea creatures like sharks, dolphins, sting rays, and orcas through a welcoming world designed specifically for ages 2 and up.

Controls are intentionally simple. Movement is easy to understand, and pressing controller buttons triggers playful, safe interactions like bubbles, splashes, and joyful ocean effects. There are no enemies, no failure states, no ads, and no pressure, just a relaxing space where curiosity leads the experience.

Shark Town was designed with one simple goal, to give toddlers a safe and joyful first step into video games while discovering the wonder of the ocean.
