What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Bad Goons is still in active development, and Early Access gives us the opportunity to build and improve the game together with the community.

Because the game is heavily focused on large-scale multiplayer battles, destructible voxel terrain, building, fortification, and dynamic frontline gameplay, player feedback is especially important. We regularly run shared developer and player playtests to see how the systems work in real matches, what feels fun, what needs balancing, and which parts of the battlefield experience should be improved next.

Early Access allows us to test the game with more players, improve stability and performance, refine combat and building systems, and shape the future of the game based on real community feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Bad Goons to remain in Early Access for roughly 12 to 18 months.

This estimate may change depending on player feedback, technical progress, and the overall scope of the game. During Early Access, our plan is to continue improving the core gameplay, expanding content, balancing systems, improving stability, and testing the game together with the community.

We want to take the time needed to make Bad Goons stronger, more stable, and more complete before moving toward a full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access, we plan to expand and improve Bad Goons in several areas. Our goals include adding more weapons and equipment, larger and more varied maps, improved destruction systems, better environmental effects, additional objectives and game modes, more advanced fortification mechanics, and more polish to animations, sound, performance, and overall immersion.

We also plan to continue testing ideas such as vehicles and deeper battlefield systems, depending on what works best for the game and the community.

The full version is planned to feel broader, more polished, more stable, and more complete than the Early Access version, while keeping the same core focus: large-scale voxel warfare where players destroy, build, fortify, and reshape the battlefield together.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version already includes the core systems that define Bad Goons. Players can take part in multiplayer FPS battles with fully networked voxel destruction, dynamic capture point gameplay, building and fortification systems, deployable spawn networks, procedural maps, and multiple weapons and tools.

The game is playable, but still under active development. Some systems may change, improve, or be reworked based on testing, performance needs, balance, and community feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will most likely not change during or after Early Access, but no final decision has been made yet.

Our current plan is to keep the price the same throughout Early Access and after the full release. However, this may change depending on the amount of content added, the overall scope of the game, ongoing development costs, server and infrastructure costs, community support needs, and the overall state of the game as it moves closer to full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to work closely with players through feedback, discussions, bug reports, balance suggestions, and regular playtesting. Because Bad Goons is built around large-scale multiplayer battles, destructible terrain, building, fortification, and constantly shifting frontline gameplay, real player experiences are extremely important for shaping the game.

A major part of this process will be dedicated Play with the Devs events. During these events, players will be able to join matches together with the development team, test new features, try balance changes, and give direct feedback based on real gameplay situations. These sessions will help us better understand what works, what feels frustrating, what needs improvement, and what kinds of tactics or systems naturally emerge from the community.

We also plan to use community feedback to help guide priorities during development, including performance improvements, map design, weapon balance, building systems, destruction mechanics, objectives, and overall game feel.

Our goal is to make Early Access a shared development period where the community is not just playing the game, but actively helping shape the future of the battlefield.”

About This Game

The War

Choose your side in an all-out conflict between two superpowers.

The struggle between BAD and GOOD goons is eternal. But fear not: whether you are an FPS veteran or a weekend warrior, you can feel right at home on this battlefield.

Build & Destroy

Build grand fortifications around key objectives, dig under the battlefield to secure superior positions, or set up a sneaky sniper nest among the trees.

It is entirely up to you how you shape your environment.

But don’t forget about the arsenal of destruction. Use bundles of TNT to completely obliterate enemy positions, or bring out the mighty bazooka to remove both the enemy and their cover.

Use Your Resources

You can do much more than just dig and build.

Turn the tide of battle with a well-placed spawn garrison. Help the wounded with a medical station. Or drop down a supply crate so your more trigger-happy comrades can keep blind-firing at the sky.

These, and many more tactical assets, will be at your fingertips.

Grand Arsenal

Arm yourself with a wide selection of firearms, explosives, and other field equipment.

There is a tool for every situation, but no single tool for all of them. Our goal is to keep the equipment feeling balanced, fair, and fun.

Call in Air Support

Collect aid packages to gain access to air support.

Drop bombs on enemy positions and turn fortified defenses into dust. Just don’t forget to warn your teammates first, those pesky bombs do not distinguish friend from foe.

Shape the Future

The game is still in an early stage of development, and your feedback matters.

Feel free to share your opinions, ideas, and suggestions with us as the game continues to grow.

Get ready for many more features to come.
