What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game is playable, but I need to hear how it feels to different players. Early Access will help me improve activities such as marbles, how friends respond to you, and the pace of a day in town.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Around 6–12 months from the Early Access launch is the current estimate. This may change with feedback and development progress. I’ll post any changes on the Steam Community.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to improve activities such as marbles, make friends’ responses feel more natural, and refine guidance, day progression, and celebrations. Animation, visuals, voices, and performance also need more work. Feedback will help set priorities, and I’ll explain changes in community updates.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“You can choose a boy or girl, explore streets, home, school, villages, and travel locations, and play marbles, paper planes, and card games or share snacks. Playable scenes cover school days, Mid-Autumn, New Year, summer trips, and reunions as an adult. It supports Windows, keyboard and mouse, local saves, and Simplified Chinese and English interfaces, subtitles, and voices. It is still an early prototype; try the free demo to get a feel for its current state.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to keep the current base price during Early Access, then raise it modestly for version 1.0. Any change will be announced in advance. If you already own the game, you won’t need to buy it again.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Tell me in Steam Discussions what you’d play again, what reminds you of childhood, and what was confusing or awkward to control. For bugs, please include the location, steps, hardware details, and screenshots if possible. Feedback will help shape updates, though I can’t promise to use every suggestion.”

About This Game

Try the demo first

This is still an early playable prototype. The activities, animation, visuals, and sound need work, and you may run into bugs. Try the free demo first. When Early Access opens, consider buying if you enjoy what is already there and it fits your budget—not just for features that may come later. I’d love to hear what was fun and what felt awkward.

School’s out. One more game?

It’s around 1998 in a fictional small town in central Anhui, China. Choose a boy or girl, put a few marbles in your pocket, and meet your friends. There’s time for a game and a snack from the corner shop before Mum calls you home for dinner.

Aim your marble and choose how hard to flick it. Practice for a while, or play for keeps: win a few, or hand over some of your own. Try paper planes, card games, and other childhood pastimes. Join in when you feel like it, and put things down when it’s time to go.

Have dinner at home, wrap a schoolbook, then head to class the next day. Neighbors have their own routines, and friends remember things you’ve done—whether you returned a borrowed toy, invited them to your birthday, or said goodbye before they left. Check the map if you get lost, or take your time wandering.

The full game also includes New Year visits, making dumplings, staying up with family, village visits, summer trips, and moments of meeting old friends as an adult.

What’s in the demo?

Play through an afternoon after school, the next school day, and an optional Mid-Autumn evening. Some celebrations, trips, and adult memories shown in the trailer are part of the full game and are not included in the demo.

A single-player Windows game for keyboard and mouse. Simplified Chinese and English interfaces, subtitles, and voices. Progress is saved locally.
