«Prop Studio 3D has a solid, working generator for weapons and shields — and a massive roadmap of prop generators, material tools, and geometry upgrades ahead of it. We want the people who actually use the tool every day (game developers and 3D artists) to have a direct voice in what gets built next and in what order.

Early Access lets us ship a genuinely useful tool now, gather real workflow feedback, and iterate fast before 1.0. Every major category on the roadmap — furniture, dungeon props, sci-fi assets, procedural materials — was shaped by developer feedback. We'd rather co-develop this with our community than build in isolation.»

«We estimate 8–16 months in Early Access. We're aiming to complete Phase 1 (all prop generators) within the first 6 months, followed by Phase 2 material tools and Phase 3 volumetric processors. Version 1.0 will ship when the full toolset is complete, polished, and well-documented.

That said, we won't rush. If the community needs more time to test a major system, we'll take it.»

«The core procedural engine is fully operational. You can generate weapons and shields right now, customize them with parametric sliders, view the wireframe topology in real time, and export to glTF, OBJ. FBX will be added eventually.

The app ships as a desktop application. The generation engine, export pipeline, and cloud save system are all stable. We are actively developing new generators and tooling for the Phase 1 roadmap.

Known Early Access limitations:
— Prop generator categories outside of weapons/shields are not yet available
— Material builder and decal tools are in pre-alpha and not yet shipped
— macOS and Linux builds are not yet available (Windows only at launch)
— Some advanced geometry features (CSG booleans, SDF blending) are in R&D»

«Yes. The Early Access price is lower than the planned 1.0 launch price. Early adopters get the full 1.0 product and all updates as part of their purchase — no upgrade fees, no extra charges. The price will increase as major feature milestones are reached.

— Post development updates in the Steam Community Hub as each new generator or tool ships
— Run a public roadmap vote so the community can influence which prop categories get prioritized next
— Actively read and respond to bug reports and feature requests in the Steam Discussion boards
— Share in-progress previews (slider demos, GIFs, topology wireframes) of upcoming generators before they ship
— Credit community members who report significant bugs or contribute tested parameter presets

🔨 A Parametric Engine Built for Game Developers

Every prop in Prop Studio 3D is assembled from a node tree of parametric components. Adjust a slider and watch the mesh update in real time. Change a blade profile, swap a pommel, restyle a handle wrap, and modify a shield rim — all without touching a single vertex manually.

The generator runs on a high-performance rendering engine, so what you see in the editor is exactly what you export.

Phase 3 — Volumetric Tools: Organic vine & wrap generator, rope/cable connector, pile & stack generator, voxelizer & stylized remesher, lattice & curve deformer, Auto-LOD optimizer

Phase 4 — Geometry Engine Upgrades: Full 3D spline sweeps, 27-slice non-destructive scaling, CSG boolean union/difference, SDF volumetric blending

Prop Studio 3D ships as a native desktop application for Windows, with macOS and Linux builds planned during Early Access. Install it, launch it, and start generating — no setup required.

Prop Studio 3D is built by a solo indie developer who needed a tool like this and couldn't find one worth using. Your Early Access purchase directly funds continued development.
