Coming Soon To Early Access

The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

Note: Games in Early Access are not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development. Learn more

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This is my first game, built in my spare time outside of my full time career. The core gameplay is functional and enjoyable, but the project is still evolving.

Early Access gives players the opportunity to experience the current sandbox while helping guide future updates. Community ideas and feedback will directly influence new features, disasters and gameplay systems.

Development will continue step by step, and I am committed to improving and expanding the game over time.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I expect Skybreaker: Rebuild Protocol to remain in Early Access for roughly 6 to 12 months.

This is an estimate, and it may change as development continues. As a solo project developed in my spare time, the focus during Early Access is to grow the sandbox with new disasters, improved systems, more content, and continued polish based on community feedback.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version focuses on the core sandbox systems: summoning disasters, physics driven destruction, reactive AI rebuilding and dynamic environmental effects.

The full version is planned to expand the overall scope and depth of the game. Planned improvements include:
- Additional disaster types and environmental effects
- More advanced rebuilding and AI behaviors
- Expanded simulation systems and world interaction
- Progression elements and achievements
- Increased polish, performance improvements and visual refinement

The goal is to evolve Skybreaker: Rebuild Protocol from a focused experimental sandbox into a richer and more layered simulation experience, shaped in part by community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is fully playable and includes the core sandbox systems. Players can summon meteors, lightning, fire and tornadoes, trigger shockwaves, and interact with a reactive city where buildings collapse dynamically and stick figure survivors attempt to rebuild.

The main destruction mechanics, physics interactions and environmental effects are functional and stable. The game already offers an experimental sandbox experience focused on chaos, simulation and emergent behavior.

Future updates are planned to expand depth, variety and long term engagement through additional mechanics, systems and modes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game is currently priced to reflect its Early Access state and to make it easy for players to join early in development.

As new features, systems and content are added over time, the price may gradually increase to reflect the expanded scope of the game. Players who join during Early Access will receive all future updates at no additional cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“This project is built by a solo developer, and community input will directly influence its direction. I plan to use Steam discussions and community feedback to guide new features, disaster types, balance improvements and gameplay depth.

The sandbox is meant to evolve over time, and player suggestions will help shape how it grows.”

About This Game

Overview

Skybreaker: Rebuild Protocol is a chaotic sandbox destruction game where you unleash catastrophic forces from the sky while stick figure survivors desperately try to rebuild and endure.

Summon meteors, lightning, fire, tornadoes and more to come. Watch cities crumble, structures collapse piece by piece, and tiny builders fight back against overwhelming destruction.

This project started as a hobby experiment by a first time developer who simply wanted to build something fun, reactive and alive. Now it is growing into a community driven sandbox where destruction meets resilience.

If you enjoy physics based chaos, dynamic environments and watching systems collide in unexpected ways, you are in the right place.

What You Can Do

  • Call down meteors by dragging across the sky, the longer the drag the stronger the impact

  • Generate shockwaves that damage buildings and push characters away

  • Strike with lightning and ignite fires that spread across structures

  • Spawn tornadoes that tear through the city

  • Watch buildings collapse realistically into debris

  • See stick people rebuild, react and attempt to survive

  • Adjust settings like resolution, world color tone, UI scale and more

Every action you take changes the world. The city is not static. It responds, breaks, burns, rebuilds and evolves.

Core Idea

This game is about contrast.

You are the force of chaos.
They are the force of persistence.

You destroy.
They rebuild.

There is no traditional win condition, at least not yet. The fun comes from experimentation, pushing systems to their limits and watching emergent behavior unfold.

It is part sandbox, part physics playground, part evolving simulation.

Built by a Hobbyist, Growing with the Community

Skybreaker: Rebuild Protocol is my first game ever.

I work full time in a completely different industry, and this project is built in the evenings, on weekends and whenever I can carve out time to improve it. Development will not move at the speed of a large studio, but it will move forward. I am committed to pushing it step by step.

This game exists because I love building systems and seeing what happens when they interact.

The long term goal is to grow this together with the community.

Planned direction includes:

  • More disasters and environmental effects

  • Deeper rebuilding mechanics

  • Achievements and hidden easter eggs

  • Community suggested features

  • More polish, more chaos, more life

Your feedback will directly shape where this goes.

Why Steam

I want to put this game on Steam not just to release it, but to build something long term.

If you enjoy watching a game evolve, suggesting features and being part of a growing project from the ground up, this is your chance to jump in early.

This is not just a destruction simulator.
It is the beginning of a growing sandbox driven by creativity and community.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Capsule and promotional artwork were created using AI-assisted image generation. These assets are pre-generated marketing materials and are not generated during gameplay. The game itself does not use live AI systems.
