Coming Soon To Early Access

The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

Note: Games in Early Access are not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development. Learn more

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“SKYOS is being released in Early Access because it is a real-time space simulation built around evolving systems that benefit from player feedback during active development. The current version already offers a playable and visually distinctive experience, including real-time Earth and sky synchronization, orbital visualization, satellite systems, and Earth-to-Moon mission flow. Early Access will allow the project to grow with community feedback while core simulation, mission features, interface improvements, and content depth continue to expand.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect SKYOS to remain in Early Access for around 12 to 18 months. This timeline may change depending on development progress, technical iteration, and community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to expand on the current simulation with additional polish, deeper mission flow, more complete Earth-to-Moon gameplay systems, improved interface responsiveness, expanded satellite and celestial features, stronger onboarding, more visual content, and broader gameplay depth across both micro and macro scale experiences. We also plan to further improve progression, presentation, technical stability, and overall feature completeness.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already includes a playable core experience centered around real-time space observation and orbital simulation. Players can observe a living Earth and sky synchronized with real time, explore macro-scale orbital views, visualize constellations and zodiac layers, track satellites, view weather-related satellite data, predict eclipses, and experience Earth-to-Moon mission flow with orbital phases such as TLI, LOI, TEI, and EOI. The current version also includes early ISS viewing features and cinematic transitions between micro and macro scale. Some systems, content, and presentation layers are still incomplete and will continue to improve throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We may increase the price gradually as new content, systems, and major improvements are added during development. We want the Early Access price to reflect both the current state of the project and the value of future growth over time.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play an important role in the development of SKYOS. We plan to gather feedback through Steam discussions, community reports, update posts, and direct player reactions to features, usability, balance, clarity, and performance. This feedback will help guide priorities during Early Access as the simulation, mission systems, interface, and overall experience continue to evolve.”

About This Game

SKYOS is a real-time 3D space simulation built around a living sky and real-time orbital experience.

Earth rotates and evolves with real date and time. Day and night, seasons, orbital motion, constellations, solar alignment, and celestial events are designed to create a persistent and immersive space-time environment.

Observe Earth and the sky in real time, explore the Solar System at macro scale, visualize constellations and zodiac layers, and follow orbital activity around Earth. Real-time satellite positions, weather satellite imagery, and space-related visual data are integrated to create a dynamic and evolving simulation.

SKYOS also features cinematic Earth-to-Moon mission flow with transitions from micro to macro scale. Launch from Earth, follow real-time aligned launch windows, and execute orbital transfer phases including TLI, LOI, TEI, and EOI. Orbital paths and transfers are shaped by gravitational influence and can be visualized through dynamic gravity field representation.

The simulation also includes eclipse prediction systems and an early ISS observation/visit layer, allowing players to access basic station views and interior observation points such as the Cupola.

Features:

- Real-time Earth and sky synchronization

- Real-time aligned orbital and celestial systems

- Real-time satellite position visualization

- Weather satellite imagery and captured space data visualization

- Earth-to-Moon mission flow from launch to transfer

- TLI, LOI, TEI, and EOI orbital phases

- Micro to macro scale transitions

SKYOS is designed as a prestige real-time space simulator for players who want to observe, explore, and experience a living space environment grounded in real-time motion and orbital perspective.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Generative AI tools, including ChatGPT, were used as development assistance for programming support, debugging, design iteration, writing assistance, and workflow planning.

All final implementation, integration, testing, and creative decisions were manually reviewed and assembled by the developer.

SKYOS does not use live generative AI during gameplay, and players cannot generate AI content in-game.
