Build Your Character from Multiple Class Essences

Pick three class essences and combine them into your own playstyle. Your picks stick, the way the old games did it. Want to try a different mix? Roll an alt.

Some essences look familiar under the hood. A lot of them don't. Raise swamp minions as a Bogmancer. Heal through a mycelial network as a Mycologist. Work honey magic and control as a Beehaviorist. Cut deals with genie-like entities as a Pactbinder. Or tank as a Snovern, an icy guardian that self-heals and stuns.

Some combos will be awkward and some will be overpowered. There's no public server to balance around, so we're fine with both. You start with nothing and end up as something weird and powerful. The world does NOT scale with you.

Classic Tab-Target Combat, Built Around Your Essences

Tab-target combat with the soul of a classic MMO, without being one. An even-level fight is a real fight, so you pick your pulls and play your kit.

Combine your essences, gear up, and you can take on bigger, nastier monsters. Fights still take long enough to count, and you won't be one-shotting your way through a zone. Since the world doesn't scale with you, you can come back later and settle the score with whatever beat you up early on, or farm gear for an alt.

Play Solo or With Friends

Everything works solo. Nothing is locked behind group size, and you never have to wait for a party.

When you want company, host a world and invite friends. Everyone brings their own character, weird Bogmancer-Mycologist hybrids included. Drop in when you want and log off when you're done.

You don't even have to group. Share a world and do your own thing. Got alts? Bring one, and level alongside a friend instead of steamrolling them with your main. It's your world, and you decide who's in it.

Explore the Residuum

Things get pruned from other worlds. Some of them end up here.

The Residuum is where the discarded and the odd wash up and mix together. The Resi call it home, along with a lot of things that never should have made it. Take the starter rats you've killed in a dozen other games. Most of them died. A few landed here and built a civilization.

The world is split into three regions, each drawing on its own color of power and home to its own essence archetype. It gets serious sometimes, but mostly it's strange and a little silly. We grew up on the old games, and the Residuum is full of callbacks to them. Those rats are just the start.
