This DLC expands upon the story of the original game, and follows directly on the completion of the base game.

The tale of Ghweros the Willowguard continues, as he and his companions set out for Regnum Polis to warn the capital of the impending monstrous invasion from Alteros. Their journey from Woikos leads through the frozen Atalaka Mountains, now rendered impassable by an unnatural winter brought on by Louksna. The only safe passage lies in the use of ancient portals - and only one appears to have the ability to navigate said portals, a young orphan wolverine cub, who becomes Ghweros' apprentice and companion.

Key new gameplay features

• Companion: In addition to the core gameplay from the base game - slash, dash, and spellcast your way through increasingly dangerous encounters - you are now accompanied by a surprisingly resourceful wolverine cub. Teach her the ways of the Willow Guard to unlock new elemental sling abilities, and she will use it to slay monsters and solve puzzles.

• New Mysteries to Solve: When not locked in combat, Ghweros and the Cub continue their investigation into the secrets of the portals, Nexus Glyphs, and the ever-present threat from the Godeaters. Use an innovative clue-and-item gathering system to uncover hidden truths, solve new mysteries, and gradually unravel the deeper story behind the events threatening the world of Tersa.

• Build Your Character: Willow Guard features a non-traditional progression system. Instead of standard leveling, you grow stronger by improving your gear, expanding your deck with new abilities, and mastering the game’s mechanics. Your choices shape what kind of Willowguard you become through the Inclination system, influencing the fate of Tersa. In this expansion, Ghweros must also learn what it means to be a worthy mentor to his young apprentice.

• Craft, Upgrade, Loot: Crafting cards and upgrading equipment requires materials gathered through combat, dungeon runs, quests, or trading with the trusted and always resourceful Merchant. Choose how to spend your resources wisely and build the perfect combination of gear and abilities for Ghweros and the Cub to face the evils that plague Tersa.
